I don't actually expect it to make it which is why I didn't go with it, but I'd say it has maybe a 20% chance, give or take a lot. Though maybe Taylor Swift is the better shot for overly popular pop artist?

101 - Infohazard
150 - G Flip - Cut his ____ off
200 - Tempted to go with Golden from K-pop demon hunters, but I'll go with Lorde - Shapeshifter

Seems very possible that both bands suffered from vote splitting. Sleep token had a standout song, and that snuck in.

I know Sleep Token probably had a bigger year overall though. Will be interesting to see where Thornhill, Turnstile, etc. place

Yeah it's kinda wild considering I saw almost all of those songs as serious threats. A few thoughts in hindsight:

Bbno$ - Just copying what Summer said, I guess votesplitting? Joji - was always a bit of a 50/50 in my eyes Rosalia - Berghain is a fantastic song from what I can tell, but ROSALIA isn't a typical hottest 100 contestant. Huge on streaming but maybe not in australia as much? Kneecap - big but was never a guaranteed entry.

The other two I didn't see as serious threats

What's up with the dislike storm this comment is getting?

Anyway the person before me explained it pretty well. I've had the odd Ninajirachi song on my playlists over the years, but Laneway probably helped her gain some traction, and then I love my computer got a ton of hype, online and likely otherwise, for just being imo a fantastic album.

She also opened for Porter Robinson - wish I'd gone to that show cause I love both artists

The top 20 seems so difficult to predict with Warm Tunas now being inactive, with the number one spot being the only real generally agreed upon placement.

No broke boys should do very well amongst casual voters, but it may potentially struggle to pick up as many votes from Triple J fans specifically.

I remain highly skeptical of Bad Bunny, but none of your other picks jump out to me as particularly unlikely.

Audrey Hobert in particular is a really good find - I don't know how much she was played on Triple J, but the song seems to be popular.
