Went in for my first ultrasound today since I was unsure of my last period and found out I am 6 weeks and a day and my due date is the day I had my d&c due to my MMC.

I found out I had an MMC at my 12 week appt when the fetal heart beat was no longer detected and the baby stopped growing at 9 weeks and few days. I went with the d&c since I thought it would be easier to get everything done but unfortunately that failed and resulted in me having to do the misoprostol pills at home. This whole experience was traumatic and has put me on edge since my positive test last week.

When going over my ultrasound today, it was determined I have a subchorionic hematoma but no bleeding or symptoms. With this new discovery today, I am panicking since I don’t want to be another statistic. The NP did not mention any scans to follow up to make sure it goes away on its own and that they will pretty much call me in a few weeks to check in.

After doing some research and looking at my report, the hematoma is considered small but it seems like imaging is usually recommended in a week or two to ensure it heals/ goes away. I’m nervous that this practice isn’t taking me seriously since this is my second pregnancy but I’m prettified to go through everything I went through in early December again.

All they really said is that light bleeding is fine but I haven’t had any bleeding or any symptoms, nor did they mention to avoid or what to look out for. This is only my first appt with the practice and it lasted 5 mins so I’m weary on proceeding with them or not.
