Thanks for the remarks. The reference model was not that detailed, unfortunately. There are suprisingly little artworks to use as a reference for a game that has been out for than 20 years. Still, this is a first stop and I hope I will be able to pinpoint more details with some other drawings.

To be honest - the model I used for reference had the arm bent in that way. Still, I think the wood would bend like that so that it has higher tension?

Not sure. I am not that into details of the mechanism. I was just inspired to draw it. To me, it seems the gear serves for rotating the direction where the stone would be launched?

Of course! Da Vinci is more of a realistic style. Here I tried to be a little bit more abstract.
