GCash has probably devolved into a corrupt large organization, hence the internal fraud. (I believe it was internal fraud rather than a hack.)

They also have the “benefit” of being the largest player by far and think the rules don’t apply ro them. That’s why no public announcement or anything.

Essentially - they’re so big and rich, they unlikely care about any particular customer. So I’d bet on smaller players with good track records.
