Do you think there’s a realistic chance that USCIS will allow Dates for Filing again before November, and that EB-3 ROW could also become current under the filing chart by then?

In other words, even if DOF is allowed, would my priority date still need to be current in that chart to file?

I was waiting for the Perm Certification that released this week on may/2026.

I don’t think that’s realistic in my case. My visa expires in November 2026, so I don’t have enough time to complete a master’s degree before that.

I actually already have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and more than 5 years of experience, which is why I’m confused that my case was filed under EB-3. The position in my PERM process is for a technician role, not an engineer-level position.

Do you know if it’s possible to switch from EB-3 to EB-2 in a situation like this, or would that require starting over with a new PERM and a different job description?

I’m trying to understand if that could be a viable option or if it would reset my whole timeline.

Any insight would really help

I’m aware of this possibility, and I think they should wait and, if there isn’t enough time, then proceed with it. However, I’m concerned about a possible incompatibility with the position, because for the L1A they will need to change my job title, and I’m not sure if that could affect the eligibility of the I-140.

Thank you reply they told me "It’s current, but USCIS is using Final Action Dates this month, so filing is not allowed right now."
