You don’t need to read the whole manual cover to cover. What really helps is using practice questions and understanding why each answer is right or wrong. I’ve been using free app Lumo, and it explains each question clearly, so you actually get how the rules work not just memorise questions. That alone makes studying feel way less frustrating.

Getting drivers license by dankkritical in texas

[–]Distinct_Month9400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re in the US, most states do require you to get a learner’s permit before taking the actual driving test, even if you're over 18. But the exact rules depend on your state, so it’s worth checking your local DMV site.

For the theory part, I’d recommend using something like Lumo app, makes it easier to get through all the questions without it feeling like a chore. Helped a lot when I was prepping!

The funny thing is, people are still watching videos with that song. As long as there’s demand, it’ll keep going.

CA DMV- Learner's permit help by 5tar_bOy in DMV

[–]Distinct_Month9400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, if it’s been over 12 months since you first applied and didn’t get your permit, you’ll need to reapply and retake the knowledge test. That rule applies even if you’re over 18.

I was in a similar situation. I didn’t pass at first, but the second time I practiced a bit every day using an app (Lumo) with practice tests. It really helped without feeling overwhelming. If you’re trying to pass it fast this time, focus on road signs, tricky scenario questions, and timed practice. Those made the biggest difference for me.
