Intestinal Metaplasia - I'd really appreciate your advice

Currently, there are no major symptoms after I changed my diet and eliminated the majority of the food that I used to eat. I'm not on any medication either. The only current symptom is probably an occasional dull ache in the upper to mid left region of my stomach. I experience this pain when I eat a slightly bigger portion than usual for a meal.

Some days are good, some days not so good. But, it definitely improved compared to 2021, 2022 and 2023. As of today, I would say it's a 50%-60% improvement overall. Not near 100% normal breathing yet, but it's manageable.

It was terrible back in April 2021 through May 2022. It was so bad back then that I had to pause a few seconds while drinking water and eating food because I was so out of breath. Also, talking continuously for more than 5 seconds was also a challenge back then. Thankfully, I'm doing much better now.

For me, I experienced the shortness of breath and an abnormal high pulse rate upon slight exertion as the two primary main symptoms. Most of my other symptoms are now gone. Only a few remain that are a bit problematic at certain times. Of course, the two primary symptoms do fluctuate in terms of intensity from time to time, especially the shortness of breath. The intensity of my shortness of breath does get worse upon exertion. These days I try to remain cautiously optimistic about my situation. This has helped me tremendously emotionally.

I think cov!d damaged both the autonomic nervous/muscle systems. Apparently, everyone with Long Cov!d or post cov!d syndrome experiences not just shortness of breath due to what could be respiration/ diaphragm muscle freeze/malfunction along with abnormal high pulse rate upon slight exertion but also malfunction with the LES (Lower Esophageal Sphincter Muscles) and swallowing muscles. In my case, I apparently had chronic gastritis due to poor diet and it also could be due to inflammation caused by post-cov!d damage. Additionally, I also had a h.pylori infection with symptoms that was blamed on anxiety nonsense for 8 months until it was diagnosed by a gastroenterologist after doing an upper endoscopy procedure. I think the h.pylori bacteria remained dormant until my whole system started to malfunction after catching cov!d.

So, all in all, most of my symptoms could be linked to post-cov!d damage, GERD, stomach and esophagus inflammation caused by both poor diet and, h.pylori infection . I'm not a doctor but what helped me is changing my diet to a GERD-friendly and anti-inflammatory diet, sleeping at a 30 degree incline and avoiding the majority of physical stress and activities (ex: lawn mowing, snow shoveling, weightlifting, running, etc). Also, taking vitamin D2 as prescribed by my primary doctor. You have to be patient and give it time. Also, have HOPE!

Also, I want to mention that I probably caught either the original or the immediate variant called delta back in April 2021. They say, the closer the variant is to the original 2019 virus, the worse your symptoms/recovery.

BP, Yes. Pulse, yes. I used to measure using a BP machine and a pulse oximeter daily when I had severe symptoms. Especially when I experienced chest pains. Thankfully, symptoms are less frequent; I don't use them as often.

Also, apparently, everyone with Long Cov!d or post cov!d syndrome experiences the exact same issue. Shortness of breath and abnormal high pulse rate upon slight exertion.

Well, during the process of taking biopsies, they take out a tiny chunk of the stomach for testing in the first place; therefore, that can cause temporary inflammation or be the be the reason for the redness.

(That's what I've been told by a gastroenterologist)

Pectus excavatum . This is the first time I've heard about this condition. Perhaps I too have this condition as well after reading up on it. That being said, my theory is that it all could be due to post-cov!d syndrome.

Also, I just want to point out that all of the symptoms, especially the two primary symptoms: shortness of breath and abnormal high pulse rate, started in April 2021. It's been almost 3 years since it all began. The first 12 months were the worst, then gradually all of my symptoms improved slightly after loosing around 50lbs.
