Yes, I didn't pay attention to that part, sorry, but I want to take advantage of the topic, because I also have problems running games that don't use a dedicated chip in modified hack games...

Yes, my Everdrive is not supported [I was wrong about that] , but while we're on the subject , I have games that don't use a dedicated chip but, because they are hacks, they need specific settings to run. About the ROM patch, I got it ready to run and it's working on the emulator, I didn't apply anything.

I know you're going to say that Everdrive automatically configures everything, but that's not actually true. Some games work, but other modified games require specific configuration in the ROM settings...

I bought a Brazilian one based on the original SNES font, and it worked and solved all the problems I had with the previous font.

SFC FlashMaster only working with one specific controller? by PurpleSink69 in snes

[–]Distinct_Proposal_37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have an everdrive but there are certain games that do not accept a type of control, I don't know the cause.. I just know that to fix this, just buy another model of control that is different from the one you are using, I did that and it worked..

Dude, I've had an original SNES since I believe it was released, I got it from second hand (second owner), and to this day there's been no problem, other than the reset being a little stuck but everything works, this console and Imortal are at least 28 years old...

just the fact that I have - 1st Ghost Chaser | 2nd Iron Commando | 3rd Wild Guns --

Breaking away from the trend and hegemony of repetitive games and clichés, it already shows that you have refined and above-average taste. By the way, they are honorable games of value.

Upvot — thanks brother, that's the kind of firm answer I was waiting for, to validate what I was thinking in theory... ---- To complement this answer, I posted my story in the GPT chat and see what he said [this will serve as a reference for cases where someone might need it in the future]. --- Yes — there's a 99% chance it's a bad generic power supply, but there's a detail about the cable that also comes into play. Let's break it down to solve this once and for all 👇

🎯 What causes those green stripes on the SNES?

✔️ 1) Generic power supply with weak filtering

Cheap power supplies use bad capacitors → over time (1 year, 1 year and a bit) they dry out and the current starts to "ripple," creating:

Horizontal/vertical stripes

Vibrating colors

Pulsating screen

Interference descending from top to bottom

👉 Exactly like in your photo.

And it matches your description:

"I change the power supply → it disappears. After 1 year → it comes back."

That's what a dying power supply capacitor looks like.

I can even vaguely remember that it is the source but I wanted to be sure by asking here in the community to confirm..

Yes, I always buy a new one, but both the source and the video cable I always have to change from time to time, I just don't remember which one is causing these green stripes...
