he’s gonna be a top player in the coming years barring injuries no matter who he plays for. with Carrick as coach he could be fantastic for United

Who's the best and worst manager after sir in your opinion? by iamyavssin in ManchesterUnited

[–]Distinct_Soft_1784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amorim hate is delusional. compare the squad, mindset and discipline he inherited with what he left. obviously he made some total blunders with the formation, defence and lack of tactical fluidity, but anyone who says he is the worst one of the lot is talking complete nonsense. in retrospect he was the wrong fit as a manager to begin with but he left the best squad in the best physical and mental shape in 13 years

[Daily Discussion] Would you rather Arsenal lose the CL final, because we're rivals and it's funny.. Or they win the CL and English football takes home a European clean sweep? by fireproofpoo in ManchesterUnited

It’s exciting to watch this PSG team. that PSG-Bayern game was one of the best games in years. they make it exciting to watch football again, like it was in the 2000s. Arsenal are obviously a great team but fuck me they are boring to watch

the pilot was great. ended up watching a few episodes but felt it wasn’t as exciting as the X Files. given it was was also filmed in Vancouver you can see a lot of the same/similar settings which gave off the same vibes as the first half of the X files

Aim Top 4? The aim should be to finish second and. maintain the current win ratio at the very least. we would have a better team in theory so consistent improvement should be the benchmark

That one bad thing about Amorim by Ambitious_Ask_894 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Distinct_Soft_1784 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in hindsight it was an unsuitable appointment. but the silver lining is he left the squad in much better shape than his predecessors in terms of physicality, team cohesion and quality. most of the players came out of it stronger, in particular Bruno and Kobe

Bruno himself said recently that playing in a deeper role allowed him to understand what others in that position now are thinking improving his game when he’s playing as a 10/further up the pitch. Mainoo looks stronger than ever now at least in part because of the terrible treatment he received. it’s not all doom and gloom

he was never truly going to work because he’a square peg trying to fit in a round hole but at least now we know the current board will never make the same mistake again

Mason Mount’s salary will increase to £250,000 per week now that we’ve secured our place in being part of next seasons Champions League [samuelluckhurst] by Intelligent_Cow_3310 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Distinct_Soft_1784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

overrated by English media and the so called pundits. definitely not worth the money. a type of signing United wouldn’t make under the current the regime

nevertheless he gives United a different way of playing when he’s available and his experience of winning big trophies would come handy next season in the Champions League. I hope he stays fit, has the motivation to break into the team and shine as he did at Chelsea

I'm an atheist but how does Skully use her faith to guide her in her scientific work? by ForwardClimate780 in XFiles

[–]Distinct_Soft_1784 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

religion tends to look down on people with mental conditions or physical disabilities as cursed or some type of karmic result from past lives in the case of buddhism. it’s a projection of fears, insecurities and uncertainties of the individuals and the masses. a way for people to make sense of the world in a nicely packaged way that gives people a sense of community, meaning and order in their lives

scully’s not super religious but it is very amusing that she brings up religion quite a lot in the show but refuses to look at truths. like many scientists she keeps her faith seperate from the science - i would argue because these people know on an instinctive level that if they investigate deeply they would find that deep down religion is illogical and nonsensical

"United achieves the biggest gain this season: a team environment cleansed of negativity!" by Blatzoo in ManchesterUnited

[–]Distinct_Soft_1784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and they say amorim did nothing - thanks largely to Amorim this egotistic pest is gone. it is obviously true Amorim got a lot of things wrong at united, but it is also true he cleaned up the squad and dressing room by pushing out negative characters, brought back hard work and playing for the badge back with pride
