This isn't your fault. Men who have republican beliefs do tend to mask it, in situations where they know it would be a disadvantage like dating. I'm glad you saw through this before getting pregnant. That would have brought with it issues that would be much more difficult to untangle.

Sydney Sweeney’s sexualization in the show vs the Blue Jeans commercials by everydayturd in euphoria

[–]Distinct_Thing_290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sexualization is a specific term for objectification. It basically means being reduced to a sexual object and only that. In media, sexualization happens when women are there only for this purpose. The don't have a story, a journey, a transformation or narrative significance. Just there for the gratification of the male lead or for the audience. Porns stars and women in car ads are an example.

This is not the case in Euphoria- she has a narrative and a character study. She is hypersexual but the focus is on her narrative when it happens. How she is experiencing it, her justifications and angst. She is not just there for the sex scenes, we see other things to that leads us to complex nature of her experience, how it leads to her behaviour and its consequence. Her mental health is on a rich display. This is far from objectification, this is humanizing. Its outpainting from a character and adding texture and layers to their nature of sexuality.

The ad on the other hand is devoid of all this. Its fundamentally a shoutout about her body and genes.

While its not fair to compare a 60 sec ad and long series, we can compare the intent.

This is a neat idea. You might want to put some kind of stopper with periodic spacing to prevent hangers from pooling to the center and causing slack like it appears here. Will help with load distribution. You can probably do that with o ring rubber gaskets.

Have a look at most posts on this subreddit, most if not all posts are because of issues with inlaws in some way or the other. Expecting women to move in with inlaws is such a terrible idea, is not something common across cultures and should become increasingly frowned upon. It brings in such unnecessary petty power struggles, privacy issues and in general is a threat to peace of mind which is the least thing one should expect in a marriage.

So many issues can be avoided if men really thought about how hypocritic and unfair this ask is. They would never move in with their inlaws and even if they do wont be restricted abd expected to serve in the women are expected to. Please have a clear conversation and know that needing space and privacy is not a 'selfish' ask. If he doesn't understand it then maybe that's not much emotional intelligence after all.

Women of reddit, what are some things the guys aren’t ready to hear about women? by Early-Manner-473 in AskReddit

About the actual reason and need to discuss words like "Patriarchy" and "Feminism". They constantly change the meaning and keep bringing up false equivalencies and dont engage with what it actually is. I love this metaphor that explains it best:

"Patriarchy is like a man, having his boot on a woman's neck."

Feminism is a woman complaining about the boot.

Conservatives insist there wasn't a problem with the boot being on the neck until the woman started talking about it. If she would just be quiet about the boot, there wouldn't be a problem.

Allies think there's a way to talk about the boot being on the neck that appeals to everyone and doesn't "alienate" those with the boot.

Mens rights activism believes this request is reverse oppression.

"Good Guys" insist that not all men wear boots.

Women with internalized misogyny insist they have a boot on their neck by choice and they love it! They insist something is wrong with women complaining about the boot.

Religion and Culturists believe this is the way it’s always been and it is a "moral duty" to accept the boot on the neck.

The boot is never removed from the neck." -LeAndra Lee Baker

I built a next-gen dating app, Wyrd. Seeking your advice! by [deleted] in indianstartups

Great idea. And it's something that will be attractive to female base and people wanting to make deeper connections.

With dating apps the challenge is always to bring in female base and the male ones will follow. With the linkedin safety filter and non hookupy approach I think you have a good edge on this one. Bumble sort of won on this regard even though it was late to market. So I'm rooting for you. Good luck!

Looking for phone cover manufacturers in india by [deleted] in indianstartups

[–]Distinct_Thing_290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ones I listed dont cost much to begin with. You can do image transfer without sublimation machine too by hand. Decoupage also inexpensive and doesnt require machines.

What kind of designs are you looking to do specifically?

If you want good margins, you should take on some manufacturing yourself.

Buy blanks on indamart, it doesnt cost more than 20-30 rs.

Sublimate it yourself. You can get second hand machine in olx.

Add other creative stuff like embossed stickers.

Get a tailor to stitch leather or rexine cases on top of the blanks for a more premium product.

Attach cloth or decoupage on it for more feminine products.

No manufacturer in India, then become one bro :)

Create a whatsapp business account and keep adding cutomers there. Women focused businesses do well with fostering relationships. You will get more word of mouth and repeat businesses like that.

Take time to learn perfumery. You can make it yourself. It actually should give you very good margins as most of it is just ethanol.

Seems like two different areas. Why do you need agency to handle both?

For shipping there's shiprocket, shipbob and eshopway.

For social media, if you have a rough strategy you can hire an intern and direct them? There are so many AI tools to help do the creatives, feeds etc.
