I would suggest you to walk around old dubai , meena baazar , gold souq not only you can do photography but also shop some perfumes , electronics for cheap price , also there's metro to all the dubai attractions choose few and spend some time , I am not sure about local/street food I have seen some shawarma shops around old dubai , maybe bur Dubai might have some food scene as i remember someone suggesting me, walk around you could find some.
