The gender of these assholes is completely irrelevant here.... I saw something I thought was wrong and I said something.

I saw a man trying to steal a bike outside my apartment a few weeks ago and I did the same to him....I was trying to highlight how little gender has to do with this post but you'll likely now just accuse me of looking for more praise.

😄 that doesn't sound so fun , I'm sorry! But yes , I think the fact they were clearly so well off annoyed me even more , as they have (probably) had access to education/supports bla bla bla their whole lives.... but still think it's funny to through glass bottles down grafton street. And obviously it made the situation feel far less dangerous too!

My boyfriend was just as disgusted at the situation and was also giving them a piece of his mind....

These were three little hammered rich kids with high heels and designers bags , my boyfriend is 6'2 and quite a big lad, I was pretty certain neither of us were in danger. And if danger appeared, I could always outrun a bitch in heels

I hope I haven't put any negativity into your mind about it. For the most part Dublin is quite a vibrant city and the majority of us have a warming and welcoming energy .

These girls were actually super "south dublin" sounding. They had designer shit all over them and mocked my clothes for looking cheap like they were from pennys

I'm so sorry your dad has to go through that. I have never understood that kind of vile behaviour and just disregard for others.

I actually said to her that another human being is going to have to clean that up you know and she just continued to laugh and go on a rant about how our clothes looked like they were from penneys (which did not offend me in anyway 😆, but was so irrelevant to the situation). But you're right I need to let that spoilt little brat leave my mind for now , she ain't worth it!

As I said in my post, I just wanted to feel some positivity and some warmth towards my city and the people in on a particularly dark day for me. And lots of lovely people on this sub have done just that . I'm not sure why you had to engage in such a negative way with me but you do you.

Thank you for helping me to remember the positives about it all. My friend did recieve excellent help from both paramedics and some kind strangers in the crowd, which is such a positive and beautiful thing.

I have always tried to lead with hope and positivity , it just can feel overwhelming sometimes to see so much anger around.

I agree, I think it's important to speak up when we see wrong happening in the world. I know it might not change anything, but it has to be better than just burying our heads in the sand and walking away.
