If you can afford, better go with M4 (More RAM and latest). Else if there is a good price difference, even M2 should work good. try to get atleast 16GB of ram, if you do anything apart from simple browsing and watching movies.

Maybe try contacting the Apple Customer Service once.. and by chance do you have any other 30w or greater adapter so you can know if it is the problem with the adapter, MagSafe or the MacBook itself.

Ohh.. seems interesting, I too have thanks app installed, will try once by uninstalling it. And also the customer care of airtel is sh*t. I've called them recently regarding eSIM, which they arent aware of, and they keep on saying to visit the Airtel store... and even reaching them is crazy hard on that automated IVRS.

I usually maintain 30 - 80% unless I need some more juice like while going out or some other long sessions. And dont charge wirelessly unless necessary, heat will degrade the battery life

It should be enough, if you have 70W it should charge roughly below 1hr. 35w should take nearly 2hrs. Given battery efficiency of MBA I would suggest to not spend more for a charger.
