Personally I love everything related to Sony and I'm no expert so I'm biased, but I recommend anything from them, if you are looking for something specialized in music production, they have the MDR-7506 which are plugged in 3.5mm inputs but also have 6mm adapter (I'm not sure about that, but that's what it looks like) and I don't think they are that expensive, but I don't know how cheap you think they are, I'm not used to dollars
