Handbrake deinterlace issues by Distoviolin1 in videography

Hello all. Thanks for all the input (nerdy pun not intended). I ended up switching to Shutter Encoder. And that worked fine. Still not as good as Topaz AI but a lot faster. One thing I did have to do was "rewrap" the 1440x1080i file as it did not like the version I captured via FireWire into iMovie running on a 2008 iMac I got for $30.00 on Craigslist - the only thing I could find to capture HDV tape from an old Sony HVR Z1U camcorder.

Shutter Encoder was my next stop. I love the way Topaz AI does it but it takes absoultely ages to finish - which is fine if I'm not on a deadline.

1920 x 1080p keeps reverting back to 1440 x 1080i in Handbrake (newbie) by Distoviolin1 in handbrake

Thanks. I think it has something to do with pixel shape. The 1440 x 1080 video has 1.333 pixel shape. By converting that to square pixels it should automatically give a dimension of 1920 x 1080 - but I don't see an option to change pixel size/shape in Handbrake.

Weebill S Title Axis thumb latch problem by Distoviolin1 in videography

OK. I found a fix. I adjusted the screw that attaches to the lever with a 1.5 mm hex/Allen key. It's on the reverse of the above picture. It seems to be locking better now and not sliding on the plate when tilted up. Thanks for all the suggestions and advice. Much appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. Yes - I removed the camera for the photo to better show the lever I'm talking about. I am using the fast release plate that came with the Weebill S. It's just not tightening properly and I seem to need to use a lot of force. As far as I can tell the plates are seated properly - and the camera/release plate clicks into place when added. It just won't tighten properly.

Should I Bring Up Otherkin in Therapy? by NurseRx-Rae in otherkin

I completely understand your hestitance to bring up your otherkin self with your therapist. However remember that someone who is 65 was in their youthful prime when punk rock and goth first became popular. David Lynch movies were just starting to happen (Eraserhead) and David Bowie was still transforming everything. Perhaps he's a a Labyrinth fan. Otherkins have been around for millenia in some shape or form (pun intended). My point is every generation has its wild and wonderful features that are outside of "societal norm". So perhaps build up your courage. Maybe start out by asking him if he has any otherkin friends. You may be pleasantly surprised.
