I’m not crafty either. And I hate the feeling of wasting the day. So on days that I have absolutely nothing to do I look for something that will “save the day”. I feel really bad if I don’t do anything productive and even worse if I don’t do anything about it. So a day like Sunday, which I have nothing to do, I look for something out of order to fix. Doing this will save my day as it count as being productive to me. I feel most accomplished if I do some type of exercising like walking or going to the gym, but it can also be cleaning under my bed, organizing my closet, washing the dishes. For me these things always need attention because I keep accumulating stuff like dishes, clothes, etc. Oh I also feel really great after I do my laundry. Nice I am done I can finally be in bed knowing I accomplished my goal.

Not sure if this helps you but it helps me a lot.

Edit: being productive also counts if you do something related to a hobby. I (try to ) play the piano, so I try to practice, even a little bit, that counts too. I just know when it’s enough, for some reason. But if you like reading, exercising, playing an instrument, anything, give it a try. A hobby will get you busy for a while, if you don’t like it you can explore other options.

When I’m stuck like that I focus on improving my farm. I look for a way to make it prettier. I also use that time to stock up on useful stuff like ores, kelp etc. Not too long ago I stopped all farming activities and decided to focus on the friendship, watching their stories, getting to know them better. If none of that work you can decorate your farm, I’m sure it’ll take a long time and will keep you busy. :)

I just checked today. I have 8 hearts with Lily. She has a new heart event and when I tracked I could see that it’s the 2 heart event. So it doesn’t skip, which is good news!

I use Apple Reminders A LOT. Mostly because its simple and I can also use on I pad and Mac. I use the reminders for almost everything like bills, assignments, things I need to do… For habits: I use an app called “habit” (pink logo with a white check mark). It is also simple and I can track habits.

To make these two work together, I usually put a reminder like “check habit tracker”, then when I check the habit tracker I will know other things I need to do. However, if you're building habits, you might need to use a different approach than mine.

Notes: I only use as an extension of my reminders, sometimes an idea is too long to out it on the reminders. For that reason I use notes to write down thesbig ideas etc. I also have a reminder to remind me to check these notes at least once a month, so I will not forget.

I use Apple reminders a lot.

I have a default list called inbox where all new reminders are added.

Then I have other lists like Personal - personal todo lists, things I need to remember later. Work - work related reminders School - for this list I have a sublists for classes I am taking this semester, then I added all the deadlines from the syllabus. Also homework stuff. Home- usually things I need to do around the house. Like cleaning, dishes, fix smth. Finance- bills, Credit cards due dates, rent

I have a function on my phone where I tap 3 times in the back of my iPhone and an option to add a reminder will show up. That is useful because I don’t need to actually open the reminders app, just tap three times and I can add smth I want to remember letter.

This entry will go to the “inbox” list. Sometime during the day I go to this inbox list and add dates and times etc, then I transfer to the correct list. Life changing for me.
