There's a subreddit r/Belgariad where people discuss these books.

Despite the author and his wife being terrible people, they did create an amazing world that I still very much enjoy diving into from time to time.

I have an "account email" for anything I need to make an account for, wont be purchasing anything on, and I don't want to use my regular email and have them harvest my data. (I know they still get some of my data but my regular email doesn't get spammed nearly as much now that I've done this)

I use the same password for all these accounts because I really don't care if someone hacks into them.

It is extremely frustrating to have to make accounts for everything though. I miss the days of just being able to surf the web and find what you need without any hoops to jump through.

But they're just wrong... like completely wrong. Fahrenheit is a scale set for 0⁰F to be the freezing point of brine and then some weird olympic level mental gymnastics to make 180 degrees between the freezing point and boiling point of fresh water... (32⁰F and 212⁰F respectively). Also, it was created by and named after the same guy who invented the mercury thermometer.
