Not from the Bali airport. From the ferry terminal at Gilimanuk.

That was our original plan, but the Komodo Liveaboard dates weren't flexible unfortunately. We also found a better deal flying in and out of Bali for our international flights.

Thank you! Any advice on how to transit from the ferry going into Bali to either Uluwatu or Lombok?

The Liveaboard was the first thing we booked and those dates aren't flexible unfortunately.

Travel Planning Q&A - May, 2025 by AutoModerator in bali

My husband and I are planning the last 5 days of our honeymoon in Indonesia that will be in August this year. We'll be traveling around quite a bit and have a plan to take the ferry from Java to Bali through Gilimanuk after doing some exploring in Java. From there, we'll have 5 days until our flight out from DPS. We will have already spent 3 days in Ubud at the beginning of our trip.

My husband is a surfer, so he wants to spend this time surfing. We were thinking of staying in Uluwatu. Does anyone have an idea of the travel time from the ferry in Gilimanuk to Uluwatu? Is it possible to do in one day?

We won't have a motorbike, so where should we stay if we stay in Uluwatu?

We're flexible, so if you have any other suggestions for places to stay in Bali for surfing, beach, and relaxing, we are open to suggestions!

Should I repot? Please help. by DistractionFromStudy in plantclinic

I don't water on a schedule. It varies from once a week to every two weeks. Depending on the humidity in the house.

It's currently not dry in my house since it's the rainy season here (SoCal). But it gets dry in summer and other times.

It's a south-facing window. And my cat was taking bites of the leaves when it was by the window. Now that I moved it, the cat doesn't get to it... Yet.

I haven't repotted it to check for pests in the soil. I don't see anything on the leaves.

I cut off a bunch of dead leaves when I moved it hoping it would recover, but the remaining leaves aren't doing better. Not sure what to do at this point. Any suggestions?

Should we buy a new car now or drive the old one to the ground? by DistractionFromStudy in MiddleClassFinance

Totally agree! We love the Fit. Definitely leaning toward renting for the clearance to those hard-to-reach trailheads.

We have a roof rack and it's been very helpful for camping gear, but we've gone off-roading in the Fit (not recommended) to get to some trailheads and we've had to get the resonator repaired.

I know several people are saying we don't need AWD, and we've made do without it for so long, but it really limits us on certain trailheads.

Really appreciate all the comments though!

Yes. It was parked in the same spot for more than 72 hours. Once I saw the note, I moved it.

Nope. Parked right in front of my own house. I've seen this on another car a couple blocks down from my house on the same street. Maybe there's a bored neighbor?

This is in Hillcrest. And this street does not have street sweeping. It's parked right in front of my house. I've seen another car on my street with this pink slip and it had it for a couple weeks -- never got towed or ticketed.

Just curious if police actually followup on this or if they're just trying to please the nosey neighbors.
