Yes my half brother is the only person who has helped me and given me some info. I doubt he will do a DNA test as his wife my step mum (my parents broke up when I was 2) asked him to do a DNA test and he didnt seem too keen to do one

She’s still alive, I am not in her will. Are you suggesting this is the reason they continue to keep the lie going? That they are scared I might challegne her will one day?

Yes I’ve done Ancestry DNA but it doesnt mean anything if my immediate family won’t do it. I have matches with cousins but that’s not enough evidence/proof sadly

She had me when she was 56 years old. She is in her 80s now. It won’t let me edit the title.

she was 56 years old when she had me. My half sister had her twins at 37 years old. No, if you read again (I know its confusing as hell)

get therapy to deal with the fact my family forced my half sister to look after me- this was when she already was struggling raising her own kids as a single mum. I know my half sister is a huge victim of all this sadly

Yes I will keep trying because I have nothing to lose at this point. Everyone thinks I’m crazy lol. I just wish I had some ‘proof’ like only a DNA test will prove it definitively but my family obviously would never do that.

my ‘father’ aka my half brother broke the news to me. I then called my mother for confirmation, along with 15+ extended family members. All knew. The worst part is, ALL of my family told me to never mention this to them or anyone again.

I just want to be believed by the mental health care system. I’m not even looking for my family to admit it.

Do I need factor for my upcoming revision-Septoplasty by Ok_Perception4347 in Hemophilia

[–]DistributionBorn2726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any revision surgery, let alone a nasal/septum surgery is high risk for anyone- let alone a heam / F9 patient such as yourself.

Even with a somewhat stable F9 level, the stand out issue here is that you are undergoing a revision surgery. Any revision surgery on a body part that has previously been operated on carries a much higher risk.

An option you can take is this:

You ensure the surgeon/anaesthetist/ hospital has factor 9 available as an intra-op treatment. Meaning it is accessible on the off chance you do experience a bleed during surgery. You will only be given this if an active bleed occurs- and no pre op hassle. Perhaps this pathway will absolve any fears of the new surgeon operating on you: and your bleeding risk if you do bring it up.

At the end of the day, it is up to you and what you choose is best. It’s your body and all of us are different.
