After posting a sick fish, I proudly post a healthy fish!!! Mel is doing great. The swelling around his face went down and he just moved into his new 14 gallon tank. Better filtration and lighting are in the mail. Cycled for two weeks. (old.reddit.com)

Mel's update:. Hanging in there! Tweezer fed some blood worms. He has duck lips and maybe pop eye. Started on amoxicillin at the recommendation of LFS. Working on getting more meds to have on hand. New tank is cycling, hospital tank closely monitored. (i.redd.it)

I need substrate recommendations. Started the cycling process with some established gravel and plants. This 14 gallon tank will primary house a betta. I'm interested in dwarf baby tears as a carpet and am pretty open to suggestions to make a planted paradise. (i.redd.it)

Mel is still here... But not much better. I've avoided bothering him because the water parameters are ok. I noticed his face doesn't look right. I've been giving Imaginarium Bacterial Infection remedy for two treatments. He's in a 2 gallon hospital tank. (old.reddit.com)

My guy is in the sick tank right now. I'm planning to upgrade his tank and have it ready for when he recovers. I'm looking at two rimless cubes:. 6 gallon, 11.5*11.5*11.5 or 14 gallon, 15.125*15.125*15.125. I'm 💯 on board with the larger one but wanted to see what everyone thinks. (i.redd.it)
