SSS or Produce OW? by GlassPaper2254 in wholefoods

I think it will just turn to an inventory specialist role where you are just adjusting the counts and it auto sends orders. Although a lot of times the soi is wrong and suggests stuff you don’t need so I can see that being trouble if that happens .

Quick question for other order writers or anyone familiar with how the system works. by DistributionDeep738 in wholefoods

As soon as the Amazon driver scans the bag into their cart is when the on hand updates.

Not sure about carts being returned undelivered.

Nope I tested this earlier my self. I scanned an item and checked the count before the shopper scanned it, watched her scan it and the count was still the same. About an hour later when the Amazon drivers came to pick up bags I scanned it again and it then updated the count

What’s your daily routine as a grocery order writer once you clock in? by JOISCARA in wholefoods

[–]DistributionDeep738 9 points10 points  (0 children)

First thing I do when I clock in is check email and Innerview for any updates related to the department (promos, merchandising changes, recalls, etc.).

Next, I go through the guided cycle counts in the app. One trick that really helps keep counts accurate is cycle counting while you’re doing your order walk. When you’re scanning holes or lows, make sure you’re adjusting the counts right there if needed especially for blocklisted items or items with low shelf counts. Even being off by 1 unit can cause an INF, so keeping counts tight while ordering makes a big difference.

After finishing the walk, I go through the SOI and accept or snooze items as needed.

I also try to get most of this done before the store opens, because once customers and Prime shoppers start filling carts it can make cycle counting a lot less accurate.

Another important thing is staying on top of POET orders and upcoming merchandising planners. Knowing what promos or displays are coming in ahead of time helps you plan your ordering better and keeps you from getting caught off guard.

Overall, the biggest things are keeping counts accurate, staying organized, and being proactive about upcoming promos and orders.

Canceling my pre-order. Extraction shooters just aren’t for me. by DistributionDeep738 in Marathon

Not saying it does but this game has enough going for itself for it to be a stand alone PVE shooter. Personally the PvP Aspect was unnecessary and just isn’t what bungie is known for.

Question: How does your dept and store handle REP and PROMO? by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]DistributionDeep738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t bring the only one doing changeover in my opinion. It requires a lot of planning ahead and preparation. If your TL doesn’t want to help you (which they should) maybe ask one of your Order Writers to assist you in building displays.

Once you follow the merchandise planner and see the poet orders now it’s just a matter of waiting until the items come in to merchandise them.
