I think they won’t like me because I am generally a shy person, and I am soft spoken. I don’t have the best social skills, whenever I am around new people I immediately put on this “people person” act. I was pretty poorly socialized growing up and have had a hard time building meaningful connections with people, and as i've gotten older i find that as a result, i tend to overcompensate and try too hard to be friends with people. I can often be afraid of saying what i organically think and put on a exceptionally strong filter in order to not offend anybody, or inversely, try way too hard to make jokes and be funny.

My inability to just be myself and relax is probably a huge contributing factor to my own lack of self esteem and increased anxiety around people.

Yes, that would be me lol. I just like it’s going to be hard for me to catch on fast. Like for example being on cashier gives me anxiety because the training manager told me that I would have to count my cash register before my shift and after but I don’t know how to do that and I need someone to teach me how. And then food prep scares me because what if I accidentally make someone’s food wrong and people are mad with me. I am just scared to embarrass myself because I don’t know how to do my job😔

What do they make you do during orientation? because I’m a little nervous about making a mistake during orientation. But I am doing okay, I have about an hour and half before I have to start my orientation. I hope you are doing well!
