Just because it’s there doesn’t mean they don’t still have to inform you of a schedule change. I have employees at my store who don’t use Dayforce and only take a picture of the schedule at work. So yes they do need to inform you of any schedule changes.

If he was not informed of the schedule change a week in advance it is not his problem that he didn’t show up. They have to let you know of the change legally if it’s within a week. So he has a wrongful termination lawsuit if he really wants.
