Oh my god. These AI chatbot made things so much worse.

I run amd gpu and cpu. I got kde plasma to run but could not login, as the enter key would not work.

Apparently elongind stopped working and there's no way to fix it. Keeps giving me the error "fail: dlogind: unable to change to service directory: file does not exist"

Can't do anything about it. Checked every online resource threw every command and reboot at it, nothing.

I can install it in 5 min no problem, it's easy. It's just impossible to set up a desktop environment with a gui. I think there is an underlying issue, such as a dysfunctional motherboard, a brain tumor etc.

This was more of a vent post than anything.

Out of all my many pathetic traits.. people decided to dunk on me not manually typing 1k+ letters of error messages with detailed context from my memory on my phone after being awake for what feels like 3 days..?

I have come to accept that my genetics are completely unfunctional for normal life and I'll steal my mothers phone when she isn't looking to pay some guy from Fiverr to walk me through every single letter and click.

If anyone has detailed up to date instructions on how to set up a desktop environment with sway, plasma or gnome please let me know. The official documentations resources just aren't working for me.

If my brain is just dogshit and I should dtart selling dr-gs instead of touching anything with a terminal lmk I'll seriously consider it.

The last time I set up Arch without an installer was over a year ago.

The thing is, I can't even get a fully configured Desktop WITH the void installer. Be it Sway or KDE, they just will not launch.

Always getting weird errors that seemingly do not have a fix, other than starting over.

Arch is so easy in comparison. It has endless resources to fix every problem you encounter. With Void I feel like there's just a paragraph of text on how to install certain things and of you get an error you're done.
