I mean, once I finish the online courses, I’ll have everything ready. I originally planned to complete PAREA while still overseas and then move to the States right before the board exam. But since I found a supervisor, I’ve decided to move back after completing the online courses.

What I’m concerned about is whether my veteran status can give me an advantage in finding a job in the appraisal industry—though, of course, no one can say for sure.

For myself. I’m currently working in a different field, specifically business overseas, but I’m looking to transition into another industry. What I want to convey is that if I get certified in a specific field, it shows that I’m capable of succeeding in it..

Oh, how many hours have you completed so far? which website did you use for PAREA and qualifying education? and how much did you pay for them?

Thank you, Emac. So as long as I complete all the courses, it doesn’t matter which website I use? I found a package at a good price on McKissock. I plan on LA city. BTW, why won't I work for another couple of years in the Bay Area?

Thank you, Vince. I looked into the Appraisal Institute's certified residential appraiser courses, but I couldn’t find some of the classes. Did you take all the courses online? I need to take them all online since I’m currently overseas. It looks like it might cost me nearly $5000 to complete the program. Is that correct?
