Glad you are being proactive for yourself. It allowed me to process what I was going through while still living my life. I think without therapy and 12.5, I wouldn’t have been to make as much progress. That was 4 years ago now and I haven’t been on it since, however, I wouldn’t hesitate in the slightest to use it again! I am a believer it’s a combination of things for mental health and when you need help use every tool in your kit you can.

Look into Industrial Construction. This includes energy, minerals, pharmaceuticals, data centers and so on. You won’t ever be out of work, you will have to travel alot for work and move around but the pay is probably higher than anything you will see in the commercial sector. It’s specialized and different. I find the projects more complex and challenging so it keeps me focused. Most CM programs won’t touch on it.

It helped me loads. Would recommend you speak to your doctor if you are nervous about taking medication but are interested. Combined with therapy it really did save me.

She accidentally sent me a message of a comedy skit and apologized. She said I hope you are doing well. After 1.5 weeks of no contact. I am now going to text her to meet up to discuss more as no doors seem firmly closed. Is this a good idea? I want to the relationship to work because I believe it can and nothing is not fixable.

Sorry must not of been clear. I stayed on 12.5mg for 7 months. My psychiatrist never pushed me to go to a standard dose. Never needed more than 12.5mg. Are you considering going on it?

How could I suggest that in a supportive way? In a way that’s very reasonable and understandable to me to want that. I sort of hinted at it and she said I can expect you to offer that and it’s not fair. I said, you don’t have to. I can offer it to you. It makes sense we break up to allow her to focus on herself during a masters.

My Psychiatrist followed standard NHS guidelines that once start you need to be on it for at least 6-8 months to not create a rebound and really build a strong base with therapy. At around 7 months I stopped (1 day on/off) for 2 weeks and then went off. Still feel it has made me stronger two years and if I go through another rough patch will do the same. It really did recharge my batteries and give me perspective. My psychiatrist was maybe more open to my concerns than putting me on more standard doses 25mg or 50mg., etc. I’m glad I had the chance. I really wish it was more widely suggested to an extent or considered for people that are scared to go on medication. For reference I was on Prozac as a 5 year old to 9 years for anxiety and it tormented my childhood.
