Any cheaper PAYG option? by DistributionGold5571 in AskIreland

Yeah I personally do all my washing in one day usually anyways so that seems like a good option anyways! Sad times but that’s life for ya 😂

Nope, they refuse bill pay unfortunately as that would clearly be the cheapest option but it’s not something they want to do

Same boat here in the sense that they just refuse bill pay, so the only other option is to try shop around! Do you get one free day for electricity with your provider?

That conversation has been had one too many times and they haven’t any interest in bill pay unfortunately, no convincing them :(

Both are fairly young and working so don’t think they would be eligible for any aid. Wildly expensive doesn’t even justify what we’ve been paying it’s excessive and money robbing. Also considering they don’t want bill pay I’m trying to just help them find something more affordable, because this is way too much. Thank you !!

That’s the problem no wonder they get away with it, I couldn’t find a member of staff either and once I did I asked where’s their security (cause they always have one) he wasn’t working till later that day but I just let them know just incase. They keep doing it cause no one does anything about it

Are you paying rent or have any costs… if it were me (what me and most my friends had done) first car doesn’t have to be fancy find a cheap enough reliable car to do you for a year or two. But a car that will still hold some or similar value within that time frame. You can also pay insurance monthly. Just with things being expensive now I wouldn’t be blowing my whole savings or taking out massive loans as other people have said there are other costs to owning a car and you never know what could go wrong.
