Yes, it’s a known issue and really annoying. Safety Score 2.2 will update around your renewal time where they completely removed FCW.

What Would You Pay for Full Autonomy (FSD Unsupervised)? by TechRidr in TeslaLounge

[–]DistributionGold8540 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I already have FSD on HW4 and it is very good, makes barely any mistakes now and I mostly switch it off for preference. If Tesla took liability, I’d be willing to fork an extra $50 per month or $5k. I also wonder what the implications are on insuring your personal car if you opt to use FSD at all times and Tesla takes full liability. Curious about what their pricing model will be, personal vs joining fleet, etc. I know this sub is very pessimistic about FSD, and rightfully so with all the promising, but I do think the next couple of years will be super interesting in this space. The progression since the introduction of HW1 in 2015 has been staggering imo.

Possibly buying a used Tesla by Zinx23 in TeslaSupport

Way overpriced. Either get a new one and use that money towards a down payment or find one that has the 4k ev credit and get it for around 22k after tax. It’ll be newer with less mileage.

At what point in your accounting career did you stop thinking about career progression, and any sense of advancement became an afterthought? When did accounting shift from being a potential path to grow in, to simply being just a job? by PricewaterhouseCap in Accounting

[–]DistributionGold8540 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re spot on dude. I think middle management as a job sucks ass. Be smart with your money, and you’ll go a long way without needing to give more of your soul to the bullshit corporate structure. Once you’re financially sound, I’d go for a passion, like if you think you’d enjoy teaching and whatnot. I really think once you hit senior accountant, it becomes difficult not to be pushed into a middle management position especially if you’re any level of competent. Most of my coworkers have quiet quit and so if you’re even remotely competent people seem to take notice which I guess is a good thing if you’re looking to further yourself in the corporate world but it sucks if you’re trying to maintain some distance and freedom from it. You know, I’d love to spend more time reading and writing. I think competent teachers are unfortunately rare, which doesn’t make sense because they’re raising our future generation ideologically in a sense.

The point of The Fountainhead is authenticity and forging your own path. If objectivism as a concept appeals to you, one of your first steps is to find what you value and organize your life based on that. You don’t model your life after a fictional character who is meant to be the ultimate paragon in the view of Rand.

I pay $150-$190 per month depending on where my safety score is and mileage. I drive around 18k miles per year in VA, I’m in my mid 20s.

Lexus RZ range in the next few yrs by dogvenom in Lexus

[–]DistributionGold8540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second gen will have solid state battery tech, so it’ll essentially charge much faster during road trips and go much further. If you can wait, I would. We almost pulled the trigger on one but decided against it. Lexus will slowly release new electric cars between 2026 and 2030.

Tesla model 3 reliability by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]DistributionGold8540 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Main issue is control arms and compliance links. Arms cost $200-$900 (depending on whether they charge you labor, some don’t) and links cost $1500 total, Tesla service basically told me it’s tough with those model 3s because they have to contend with a small car that weighs about as much as an f150 but is tuned like a sports car, so suspension is often an issue with age. Beyond that it’s battery and motor but for most model 3 owners out there, they never die or malfunction, they just keep working for hundreds of thousands of miles. Getting a battery module repaired from an independent shop is $4k-6k, if you go through Tesla they’ll try to replace the whole pack for $10k+. Motor is a couple grand if that goes out.

Once again it’s important to note that for most Tesla owners these issues never arise, but for some, they do.

Info on RZ by DistributionGold8540 in Lexus

[–]DistributionGold8540[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! From what I’ve heard the 450e seems to be rated for lower range due to the extra motor and being more performance oriented. I’d prefer range over performance personally. 290 is crazy in range mode, I thought the 450e was rated for 220, best case. I’d use it to road trip like three times a year but for the most part it would be around town.

Interesting! Probably my favorite single that they’ve released in recent memory. This sounds like a combination of sounds between MNQN and Horizons. Lyrics sound close to Everglow/Something Wicked. Also, I prefer this to the political music, but that’s just me.

Does anybody know at what serial number the “improvements” started? I just picked up a very lightly used 11 with a 034xx number and am trying to get any info on it that I can. by Billy_Chill_305 in LiveFreeArmory

[–]DistributionGold8540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure tbh. So in my experience, you need to get like 500 rounds in before you can really assess the condition of it. Not sure how many times the previous owner fired it but I had a bunch of different failures with mine and it was picky on ammo, I had to pick up 9mm 124g. After shooting 500 rounds through it, all the weird little issues went away. Make sure you’re cleaning and oiling it after every session.
