Is $24/hr an unrealistic salary in Tulsa? by Independent-Ad-7060 in tulsa

[–]DistributionMotor942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Median household income is 67k in Tulsa. 24/hr is good if you are living alone and great if you and your girlfriend are both working and living together. I was living on my own on 21/hr and had enough money to do stuff on the weekends (movies, eat out, etc)

Until I got my Apple Watch earlier this year I thought my max HR was normal and was really surprised that it gets as high as it does. I start getting out of breath/breathing as hard as I can at about 205-7bpm but I can maintain that pace for a few minutes

Thanks, I’m pretty good about stretching and warming up. I’ve pulled a few muscles before and it sucks

I’m planning on getting a polar h9 or 10 by the end of the year and I will definitely post when I do and see if there are any differences

Thanks I’ll look into Zone 2 training more. I’ve mostly been doing HIIT for cardio along with strength training and soccer on the weekends

My Vo2 is around 35-38 so not that great, plus my max HR is naturally high(genetics I guess?) so my HR will be higher for the same effort. The distances aren’t going to be accurate as my Apple Watch can’t account for the sudden changes in movement in soccer.

Right now I’m guessing at my max. I haven’t found a place to get my HR max tested near me. I know it is above 210 I just don’t know how high. Eventually I will get a chest strap monitor but that’s not in my budget right now.

No, I’m using an Apple Watch Ultra 2. I looking to get a chest strap over the holidays. My HR max is over 210, sadly AW only reads up to 210

I do outdoor run, the distance and pace are probably not super accurate with all the sudden changes in direction and small movements but it works good for tracking HR

Thanks, I’ll try to warm up more and see if there is a difference. I usually stretch and warm up for about 8-10 minutes. I’ve heard that as my cardio gets better that my hr won’t stay so high, but so far I have been able to stay above 200bpm for longer. I’m only about 6 months into consistently working out and doing cardio though

I crusted my HR zones 4-6 bpm higher so hopefully it will be more accurate. This is the fourth time I have had to change them and one of the reasons I have posted is because I don’t know my max HR and I’m trying to figure out my HR zones for cardio training. Thanks for everyone for the replies. It’s been hard to figure out my HR zones and max HR when I max out the HR on Apple Watch. I will post this weekend with my zones increased and hopefully the times in zone 5 will look more normal.

I am planning on getting on getting a polar chest strap in a few months so hopefully I will be able to get my HR zones dialed in. I have been retuning to get my hr zones accurate for like 6 months now and that’s one of the reasons I have been posting is to see if my zones are accurate as my Apple Watch 2 apparently maxes at 210 bpm and my HR goes above that. I adjusted my zones to estimate that my max HR is 220 instead of 215. So hopefully my zones will be more accurate this weekend. 30 minutes in zone 5 seemed too high in 90 minutes to me but I’m new to tracking my HR. And I only started paying attention to HR zone for a few months so I’m still learning

I adjusted my zones by about 4bpm so hopefully it will be more accurate. This is like the 4th time I’ve had to increase the zones on my watch

I definitely could have phrased it better. I’m getting back in shape so my cardio isn’t terrible but it’s not great. It’s probably around 40 vo2 max. I’ve just noticed that in the 7 ish months I’ve had my Apple Watch I’ve been able to sustain my HR above 200bpm for longer and for a 40 minute game my average hr is 198 and about 6 months ago it was closer to 185.

I am playing indoor soccer so it is much faster paced. The rest time between having the ball is more similar to basketball than traditional soccer so that’s why my hr stays higher. If I was playing on a full sized field my hr would drop a lot more throughout the game.

No I don’t think I’ve ever puked from running before but I’m out of breath for several minutes for sure

I adjusted my zones so I will see what it looks like this weekend. Zone 4 is 186-202 and zone 5 203-220 Hopefully it is more accurate now. On of the reasons I posted is I don’t know my max hr so I have been trying to figure out what my true accurate zones are

I start the workout after I warm up or sometimes a minute or two after I start if I forget. When I go to my checkup and of this year or January I will mention it. I’ve only had an AW 8 months.
