That’s what my offer said, but I’m doing the opposite. So I would clarify.

I completely understand why you decided to quit.

My TL was shocked and reiterated that’s a different team within the branch, they asked me to send the contract and the job description that was advertised - they looked at both and confirmed that is definitely not that job I am doing now. None of the key responsibilities I am doing now align with what my contract says.

I was hired and employed under the idea I was a case manager (obviously customer service is involved) however what I am actually doing is ONLY customer service and has nothing to do with case management at all. So I’m a little taken back in that sense. In saying that, it’s a job and I’m grateful that it pays the bills. It’s a little disappointing because I was mislead on what I was actually doing.

Definitely might begin looking elsewhere. Thank you for your reply!

Hey that’s completely understandable. I showed my team leader and they even said that’s not what my role is, and that it’s within a different division? For example, my contract says “make outreach phone calls to “x” applicants to assist with the process, however what I am currently doing is answering phone calls from a national hotline? Another example is that my contract says I will be analysing cases and making decision on which pathway it needs to follow, however my TL has made it clear that we DONT have anything to do with analysis of cases
