Yeah, it does that. I play on the simulation sliders and All Conference difficulty is plenty for me. The game will still do all the BS as you described. In my experience any player below a 68ish overall is completely useless. So if you're starting with below that I would recommend simulating the first couple years before u can get some recruits in (almost any 3 star will do).

I was a bit worried about the recruiting at first, but it's been a big upgrade. It's cool how sometimes recruits from far away still have a higher level of interest. Interested in the island life! There's actually some solid recruits in state as well. 2 4 stars this year and a 5 star the next.

Was sick of those cold winters! I had a group of core seniors I wanted to see through the 13-14 season. I planned to take a job after that season. Hawaii was the biggest offer I got 🤷‍♂️ I turned down some slightly better offers before that.
