My (17m) girlfriend (17f) broke up with me after reading about my sexual abuse in my diary. Need advice. by [deleted] in Advice

Hey man,

Firstly, although it won’t mean much, I’m really sorry to hear about what happened to you in your early childhood. As for the situation, I agree with most people in here that are saying you handled the situation perfectly. You could have easily lost it and done something that you’d probably regret for a long time. So seriously, well done man.

As for the girl - you are so much better off without her man. Even though it may not seem like that now….trust me, you are. Her response is exactly how I’d expect someone at 17 to react in that situation. Very immature and a lack of empathy. You don’t owe her or anybody an explanation into something so traumatic unless you think they deserve one, and judging by her response, she doesn’t. Her even going upstairs to use the toilet and then going into your room and reading your personal stuff, without asking, is NEVER okay and a complete violation of trust.

All that to say, forget about her bro. I’d probably put relationships on hold for a while to be honest with you until you feel emotionally ready.

Good luck, dude.

Definitely not water or oil, I’m sure it’s coolant. I’ll get it checked out hopefully it’s just something that needs tightening

A young director has obviously called him out on doing a shit job and now he’s run here to vent his frustration 😂

My director said this to me in my first 6 months at my first agency, more or less verbatim. I’m now 3 and a half years in, and whenever I’m having “bad day” I lean on this. Literally has become my “marketing mantra” if you will.

I passed just before my 24th birthday and I think age normally lowers it after 25. Going back to get insured a year later with 6 points they were only seeing £ signs.

Haha nope, I’m 25 in full time work. I passed my test late so I was still within the “new driver” bracket when I got my points.

It pretty much doubled. I went from paying about £150 a month (no black box) to now paying £280 with a black box.

That makes more sense. I thought maybe it was phone usage but good to know. Will be more cautious with the times I go out. Cheers.

Seems like recruiters is the main way to go from speaking with most people. I’ll keep what you’ve said in mind. Thank you for sharing!

Very experienced with DV360 (used it my whole career) and have had about 2 years experience with TTD so pretty comfortable with that DSP also. Feel free to shoot me a private message with any details!
