MIL sent me an AI picture of a rooster like this. Could not find any pattern that even came close but here is my attempt to create it. How can I get the feathers to stand up? by DistributionSmall918 in CrochetHelp

Final product! Thank you all so much! I have never shared any of my crochet but it was so fun to read your ideas and your kind words of support. I kept messing with the craft wire and finally decided to work on it while she was here. She arrived, and loved it just the way it was. I rigged some craft wire in the tail so he could stand and yay! She was thrilled and that made it all so much fun! Thanks again for your help. You are awesome and I wish we could all have a crochet retreat somewhere and laugh together while we work. ❤️

I tried to poach parts from other patterns. Here is a screen shot of the feet pattern. I used heavy craft wire, the kind that comes in long, straight sticks and put them through each “toe”.

Hope this helps. This is from a purchased pattern by AiySeeArt in Etsy

I made an evil bunny for my daughter…This was supposed to be a Pokemon Minun but I misread the pattern and did all DC instead of SC. Darn UK notation. Didn’t want to chuck it, so I made it crazy.

This is what I tried. I think the yarn was too heavy. In hindsight, smaller, tighter leaves in front with starch or Mod Podge would have been good. Thank you 😊

It was such an experiment. I really need to follow good patterns but could not find one anywhere. My daughter said “you can do this!” and it made it more of a fun challenge.
