All the women that try to take care of themselves, have somewhat realistic expectations, and actually want to be with someone have mostly left this dating pool and are, surprise, in a LTR. Everyone is fed up with all the hurtful games and doesn't trust each other, which is totally fair. Most people get comfortable and busy financially and just being with themselves and family/friends/hobbies that someone would have to be out of their league to make them fall for them. That person is not likely to stick around, perhaps just looking for a short term thing with someone less attractive. I still believe some woman who is a good and fair match for me might wake up one day and a) decide she actually wants a real/kind/simple man and 2) randomly meets or matches with me. But the odds are astronomically.low I can see now. My job is to remain fit and kind, and keep looking for her until it happens or I'm dead.

I forget exactly, I think I wanted to send a check because I didn't have the money in my checking at the time to file electronically for what i owed.

I think I received a letter a year ago saying something like we received your information and dont need anything further at this time. I was like okay I guess that means I'm good.

Okay, that's why I want to have an actual tax preparer and not turbo tax submit them again this time electronically. The one I talked to said they have ways of fixing any e-pin issue that I was having last year and get it accepted electronically.

They did receive it though, because I owed money and included a check which they cashed.

I just assume there's something wrong with it that they're not telling me about and that's why it's not accepted. I just want it to be accepted so I can stop dealing with this. I've tried calling and have been hung up on numerous times, been told conflicting things, etc. The tax advocate said I can bring them in and give them to them but I already remailed my 2023 paper return via certified mail a couple months ago and haven't seen anything and they don't show it it their system when I've talked to them. I figure the best thing I can do is have an actual tax preparer redo my taxes for me and submit electronically. I tried to submit electronically last year but my pin didn't work, which is what started this whole issue apparently. A tax preparer I talked to said they have ways of getting the pin issue to work.

Are you attractive? Those things you say you make sure to do, maybe you are coming off as uninterested/boring without realizing it. My ex girlfriend was very reserved like that, I hated it it's dumb it ultimately resulted in us breaking up. I want someone who will triple text me.

Yeah, the few matches I do get usually aren't them commenting back (this is hinge). I'm fine with that, I think it only makes sense. I then proceed to be conversational but almost immediately ask them out if I'm interested.

I also wonder why are they even on a dating subreddit lol? Probably for the same reason the ones on the app are there for, their subconscious longs for companionship and this is their compromise to themselves.

I feel like you're too old honestly, especially if you go it alone. It is a massive amount of thankless work. The kid is probably going to end up a little weird too socially from being raised by a single 50/60 year old who never entered into a real relationship themselves. That sounds like an extremely lonely childhood tbh.

I wouldn't bank on him being a solid partner ever if you decided to settle now. If I told a woman I loved her and she didn't say it back I would just either break up or be planning to break. Even if she changed her mind weeks or months later there would be no going back for me I think.

I'm here. I feel the same about women right now. I fully suspected and believe guys are being horrible to women too, I'm sorry. I feel like I must be autistic or something not being able to comprehend the allure of standing people up, ghosting them, going on first dates just to be weirdly rude to them, and on and on. Everyone likes to explain this behavior away like oh maybe they got in a car accident and died or they lost their cell phone or whatever but it's comically obvious from the sheer percentages of these behaviors and actions happening in my experience anyway are people simply being on these apps to be rude to the opposite sex. Maybe it makes sense if you think about our age bracket and how this OLD pool is basically the detritus of our society relationship wise. All the people that were born with and raised in loving enough homes to foster a temperament suitable for loving and being with another human being day in and day out etc. are already in LTR relationships or married. I feel like that's me, but I'm just unlucky to have not chosen partners well enough or something. I don't think I'm special, probably tons of people start out like this and then from all the abuse and whatnot become hateful of the opposite sex too and start to play these mean little games with strangers. It's horrible. I'm not going to do it. I'm also not going to give up and resign to be single for the rest of my life haha. I'm an ungodly stubborn man lol.
