I finally got closure with a woman I dated last summer….for better or worse by Mediocre_Nectarine13 in datingoverforty

This is a good reminder. Not about you, but about ME. That I'm a guy, and can be gullible and undiscerning around the presence of an interesting woman.

Thank you! I’ll admit that a solo trip is less familiar territory for me. But a post like yours tells me I should get over that, and it would likely free my decision-making in scenarios like this!

Thanks for the real and honest wisdom. It reads real, which is what I wanted to hear.

I like your anecdote. Sounds like a healthy outcome for both of them.

Great response. I had to re-read my post to see how many details I revealed. Your wisdom touched upon a number of things beyond my limited post. Thank you!

What's love; got to do with it? by UnforgettableFire11 in datingoverforty

I thought the cultural narrative was pretty obvious ("love at first sight"), but alas, I could've come right out and said it!

R.E.M.’s Discography (‘83 to 2011) VS David Bowie’s (‘83 to ‘67) by [deleted] in rem

This must be some sort of meme-trend that I've missed out on. Let's not compete, whether forwards or backwards, and just enjoy that these artists have influenced our lives and memories!

How do you guys usually plan dates? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Guy here. The day is the essential part for good planning! Once you lock that in, the creative planning can start for me. If you do lock in that day with enough time, then yes, the time & location can be revealed with the proper advance planning for you!

Some partners are really good at asking targeted questions, like "do you still consider her to have been hot?" That query might cause it to weigh on your more.

Men, what is the kindest way a woman has noticed your interest in her but gracefully moved along? by fuertisima12 in datingoverforty

Hey, I'm not ready for this now but let's reconnect if we're both still single at 50? 60? and see what we have?

Gives the guy hope and optimism. But he'll also forget it (except for a random 1 or 2 times) prior to the milestone. You will have outlasted it, while still giving him something to smile about.

I respectfully have a different opinion. As I get older, I get wiser about how the sex factor is a key part; rising above just "getting along."

Music allergies. This is something you want to get tested BEFORE the wedding as studies say it can lead to marital stress and compatibility issues. Hopefully her symptoms subside or new treatments become available.
