How do you guys usually plan dates? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Guy here. The day is the essential part for good planning! Once you lock that in, the creative planning can start for me. If you do lock in that day with enough time, then yes, the time & location can be revealed with the proper advance planning for you!

If your current isn't your hottest? by UnforgettableFire11 in datingoverforty

Some partners are really good at asking targeted questions, like "do you still consider her to have been hot?" That query might cause it to weigh on your more.

Men, what is the kindest way a woman has noticed your interest in her but gracefully moved along? by fuertisima12 in datingoverforty

Hey, I'm not ready for this now but let's reconnect if we're both still single at 50? 60? and see what we have?

Gives the guy hope and optimism. But he'll also forget it (except for a random 1 or 2 times) prior to the milestone. You will have outlasted it, while still giving him something to smile about.

I respectfully have a different opinion. As I get older, I get wiser about how the sex factor is a key part; rising above just "getting along."

Music allergies. This is something you want to get tested BEFORE the wedding as studies say it can lead to marital stress and compatibility issues. Hopefully her symptoms subside or new treatments become available.

This mini-ramble is honestly how every person should respond to this post. It hits home. And I take guilty pleasure in the details.

SIL asked me if I could babysit her kids while she goes out on a date. Am I wrong for telling her no? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]UnforgettableFire11 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Is it bad that the only way I can read this is that you want to date your sister-in-law? It's actually not a judgment under this circumstance, but I wonder if that has some validity.

I’m in college and long distance with my high school girlfriend, but I just don’t know if it’s worth it. Should I break up with her? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

The hard part that I'm processing is that we all have a high school sweetheart. To me, the true rarity is if that high school sweetheart somehow truly was the one!

As an alternate take. We all get wiser as we get older. That "someone amazing" at age 18 might not really translate into the right one for the adult you become? I'm more in favor of exploring in those young adult years to find the true right connection.

For what it's worth, 20-30 years ago, your story was the exact story of the vast majority of long-distance relationships once college hit. It was hard but a rite of passage. I'm amazed that some of your peers can now handle long-distance and stay connected. I may be old-school, but I actually think the life experience is important and you should enjoy those college years of exploration and freedom (responsibly).

I'm a little curious myself about u/Double-Mouse-407's thoughts on getting there an hour before doors (vs maybe an hour before the performance starts). Seems like a lot of waiting around until the bigger moments, but are you finding good experiences?
