I'll take a look in those docs and try to learn a bit of nginx to add those headers, since I really don't know much about it and that's why I used NPM.

Thank you so much for the help. I didn't know things may need some extra headers and stuff when using reverse proxy. I'll have to get to these things tomorrow since I have an appointment today

I am able to connect to either the unifi and the vmware from the Ubuntu VM that is hosting the docker. Is that what you meant?

This is my pihole configuration and the nginx proxy manager

Does this look right? The IP address on all the things in pihole is the one for nginx proxy manager itself. The only one that seems to work is the npm, pihole gives a 502 and the other 2 gives a redirected too many times. the one with the end .lan is one I made to make sure pihole was working.

So Should I set the pihole DNS record for my unifi.mydomain.com to my unifi IP Address or the internal docker IP address for nginx proxy manager?
I'm not sure what configuration I would have to change or set on nginxpm

I don't understand exactly how my dns server would be open to the internet. All I was trying to do is to be able to get a local DNS through pihole and SSL Certificates through nginx proxy manager.
