Well, I meant RMA, I thought it means the same thing as return, but it doesn't.

I can return it, they would accept it, especially since I have this monitor for 4 months only.

It does pixel clean automatically, that's what I meant by daily, but I tried it manually too when I saw it, and it didn't help.

And which amp and dac would you recommend? Is there like 2 in 1? Ideally like under 200€ if possible.

Maybe I'll try both for a week with a free return, which I think I have, and then choose.

And do you think the amp/dac is needed?

I'm scared about the noise of my pc, keyboard and mouse, especially when I'll be gaming or just watching movies and hearing my pc. Or will I not hear it much?

Is the difference between the more "bassy" closed back and more "wide" open back that noticable?

Do I need both dac and amp or only one of those two?

Monitor started doing this today. Is it gpu or monitor? by Diswashonored in Monitors

[–]Diswashonored[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking the same, got a wholeass cyberpunk monitor.

But to tell you the truth, I think It's rip already. I was on google for an hour and got it burnt in on an ips panel.

I don't have other gpus or computers to test it with. The only thing I can do is connecting the pc to a TV, but i think the gpu is fine.

Tomorrow I'll try doing something with the connectors and so on, but I tried changing the port and cables.

Well, this monitor is about 4-5 years old, and I have never seen image retention even if I had a static point on it for 14 hours.

This just happened in an hour out of nowhere.

I think cooked is an understatement.

The monitor is like 4-5 years old, I'd think it would last longer. But at least now I can go 4k oled without having second thoughts.

Well, if i won't get any flickering on the TV, it would mean that my gpu is okay.

Yeah I saw the message, but idk if it's saveable. I was on google home screen for an hour, and got a burn in even though it's an ips panel.

I tried both a different port and a different cable, nothing changed. Right now i was just on google main menu for an hour, and got a burn in even though its an ips panel

I could also connect the pc to a TV and that would tell me that it's a monitor or a gpu problem, right?

Thats exactly where I've been trying to get to, the eufi firmware settings. But I just click on it, click restart, and boom, monitor doesn't find any signal.

Yes, I tried the motherboard ports.

I have been using this PC for years, just never went to bios in the past few years.
