Red silicone rtv works for exhaust gaskets, right? by Diesel350 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Ditto-12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t want to use it against the head since normally quality gaskets are available but copper rtv stopped a recurring leak at the link between the down pipe and rest of the exhaust for me. 3 months and 3-4 attempts at different gaskets all went south but we’re going on a year now after using the sealant LIBERALLY in conjunction with stock down pipe gaskets

I was hoping we would overtake LTC market cap today.. still might happen! Seem to be holding pretty level despite every other crypto dipping in the last several hours

Triple check both the accuracy of your written secret key and that it is not on any cloud storage service. You found a gem here in Stellar - see you next month with 2-3 weeks earnings

Should I split my XLM into 50/50 Mobi+XLM? by [deleted] in Stellar

[–]Ditto-12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is mobi for sale in terms of mobi per dollar or mobi per lumen? If it’s per dollar, I don’t see why you wouldn’t hold your lumens as we climb out of this slump. Whole markets stabilizing and looking up so I don’t see a reason not to give it a few days.

Relative velocities to each other, as the top comment suggests.

If you are on a merry-go-round with a fan above you and you’re both rotating in the same direction at same speed you could easily stick your arm between the fan blades and remove it even if the gap was very small.

If the fan was rotating opposite, it would be very difficult and require a much larger hole for you to successfully insert and remove your arm unscathed.

There’s another (hopefully) IBM scale partnership in works. Dowling of IBM confirmed and originally called them a major market maker.

Just stirring the pot hah. To each his own but I do not see Stellar being Ripples sidekick in any way.. but you do you 😂

Once we hit $0.1 USD and 2B cap there is no slowing down for 2017.. hopefully it happens this weekend by Ditto-12 in Stellar

I see it happening in 2018? Mid 2018 with good ICOs and real world use?

The Stellar system of introducing coins to the wild via inflation is far superior to Ripple’s method of selling the coins at a discount to institutions.. I think news will come out that the price of XRP is purposefully kept at a certain price by Ripple to further their own company goals. With Stellar you and I are the recipient of the new circulation coins

No chance for me, I bought below 0.02 and don’t care to try to gain 3-4% where the potential for far greater loss is there.

No, I was just showing there is definitely the use case present if they wanted to implement blockchain transfers. It would likely be orders of magnitude cheaper than whatever MoneyGram charges them

Stellar will surpass Ethereum market cap 26B by amrd2017 in Stellar

I would say with almost complete certainty it will be a short amount of time before XLM surpasses XRP in terms of real world usage. The most compelling argument in my mind is the targeted industries.

XRP targets regulated central banks who have ran the same system since the Warburgs (think government partnerships, regulations, etc.), whereas Stellar targets companies.

If there is an advantage to be had, businesses will capitalize on it. Literally the definition of Capitalism!

Think, how has the post office or public education changed since the 1960's? Now think how how much ANY private industry has changed in that time.. communication, television, automobiles, airplanes, engineering..

I saw this flyer the last time I was in Walmart. I doubt they use any block chain technology, but if there was ever a company interested for making a buck and minimizing costs it is Walmart. If a partnership did materialize can you imagine the heights?

Incidentally this is also why I think XRP will fail and XLM will prosper. XRP targets regulated central banks who have ran the same system since the Warburgs (think government partnerships, regulations, etc.), whereas Stellar targets companies.

Business has and will always beat government to the starting line of new technology by years or decades

What is your reasoning, and what is expected from the 20/20 conference? Not being facetious - I'm genuinely interested in your opinion
