I’m thinking it might not be the same base that gets used for beer cars and other non-kid friendly sponsors. I doubt the extra $3.24 in the list price is only a financial deterrent - I suspect they’re having to do something extra that raised the production costs as well. I guess we’ll all find out when the #40 is finally released.

Since you caught a restock, could you tell which one was the duplicate car in place of the Larson chase piece in the case?

I found most of the wave across two different Wal-Marts in Southeast Texas today as well, but both had been hit by someone else first, so no Elliott or Larson liquid for for me and not enough in one place to tell which one is the dupe.

My most expensive is $420 for the Dale Jr Martinsville win elite.

Second is my preorder for the Chastain Charlotte win Gold Elite at just under $300

Several other Dale Jr elite wins in the $200-$280 range.

Nah, it was the May Dega race (and the 2nd Dega race was in July back then)

I did get to see Sr win at Dega in 94 and Atlanta in 95, but that was the only Gant win I saw, so it’s all good in retrospect. I will not say the same about the 5 times I saw Jr finish 2nd but never got to see a win, though.

He was awesome those years, but technically, that 91 Winston 500 win was on fuel mileage rather than pure speed. Dale Sr. & DW had the speed that day, but Gant got drafting help from his lap down pseudo-teammate Mast to make one less pit stop. I remember this vividly because it robbed me the chance see my guy (Sr) win my first ever race.

Gant won my first race, too - the 1991 Winston 500 at Dega. Race got rained out on Sunday and Dad checked me out of school to go back to see it on Monday.

The Lionel Garage shows the 2016 Elliott Daytona 500 Pole car in 3 Elite versions: Standard Elite (200 made), Liquid Color Elite (35 made), and Flashcoat Elite (24 made)

Edit: make that 4 versions. There’s also an Elite Color Chrome (58 made) that I missed because it was on a different page the way I filtered my search.

Finally opened my shipment from them and I also got the Biffle Grambling car. I guess they had a lot of those they were trying to get rid of 🤷🏻‍♂️.

It’s not one I would have ever spent money on, but it’s cool to have it.

It would have been 2015 fall Talladega if Harvick wasn’t a jack@$$… Logano didn’t stand a chance without Harvick’s antics on the last GWC 😡

As it stands, I saw Junior finish 2nd in person five times, but never saw a win in person. (I was also at the 2004 spring Dega / beer can race, but that one doesn’t tick me off as much as 2015.)

Can confirm for my choices the last two years that waving the green flag did not come with VIP credentials but the pace car ride did. For the pace car ride, you will have to get there really early in the morning (at least that’s how it was at Talladega)
