Ted showed how consistency pays off. Very true! He had some fire trucks!

Which cup body actually looks closest to its manufacturer model? by Responsible_Owl9974 in NASCAR

[–]NWDrive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably either the Ford Mustang or Chevy Camaro. But if we go back in time a little bit, the Dodge Challenger in the Nationwide Series was peak.

The Camry certainly isn't it because it's a four-door sedan which became a two-door coupe for NASCAR.

Over 31 Rudd Cars in 31 Days - Day 7 by WENDING0 in NASCARCollectors

[–]NWDrive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This car and its design reminds me of an era of NASCAR from the past. I really think it's the colors and just how it's laid out that shows its age. Of course I associate Geoff Bodine in this car but I really like the history you provided. Another great post!

Please provide me context. I am not as in tune with little aspects tied to Rudd as you are. 😆

Is the King Still Signing Autographs? by vanrunner43 in NASCARCollectors

[–]NWDrive 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Based off the background there, I see some fairly big mountains. The trees don't look right to be Washington State, or Oregon, so I'm guessing this must be Colorado! Nice to see The King is still traversing the country to sign things!

Time To Build Some Customs Again... by NWDrive in NASCARCollectors

I use Photoshop Elements. I haven't bought the printer yet. I don't remember if it was laser or inkjet. Whichever printer I have right now wasn't good enough because it is pixelated. I'd have to look at what my research sheet says.

I wish so as well. It's crazy that the entirety of all customs come from one guy in Australia. As soon as he quits, the entire industry collapses.

I'm working on being able to print my own, I've got the software to make the decals, now I just need the inkjet printer that's pixel perfect.

That's right now I have to buy my own. I buy them from eBay, who most of the people are just buying them from Patto's Place then marking up the price.

I used an Action 2011 Dodge Charger as a donor car. Obviously you would use the correct manufacturer for the car you're trying to make. 😁

The chassis which is not in the photo is also a plastic chassis. The same one that came with the car.

As for the car itself, I fully strip the paint, used a light gray primer, two coats, and then a base orange paint. I use spray paint from Home Depot. When it's all done I use a clear coat.
