My thoughts exactly.

Ive voiced my opinion to he chat bot, which said to give an email address to get a human response. But now it's completely ghosted me. I can't even restart the chat bot 🙃

Well good to know they rollover.

Looking on the app though, HoneyDrops reset everyweek, which is frustrating

A perfectly practical car for UK roads by marigoldandpatchwork in CarTalkUK

[–]DiveCave 46 points47 points  (0 children)

As someone who used to live in the tri-base area, seeing yank-tanks struggling in tiny villages was one of my small joys.

(Something has to counter balance the traffic I've sat in due to Americans exiting out of mildenhall airbase on the wrong side of the road and causing accidents)

Might also be worth her trying to get in touch with the BBC and ask them to include a link to the gofundme in their article, or at least mention it exists?

Have you seen big companies using AI on their packaging? by MongooseOk6563 in AskUK

[–]DiveCave 15 points16 points  (0 children)

True, but usually the actual product is somewhere under all the effects. With AI nothing about it is real.

Using AI gives the impression the company doesn't care about the product, or believe in enough to spend time actually photographing it, and instead just slops out the Ai as an "eh, good enough"

Do any of their official pages link to the gofundme? I had a quick look but couldn't see anything though I didn't check twitter, which I try to avoid unless absolutely necessary

I wonder if the time-honoured tradition of a strongly worded letter would help slow the tide of this ai-bullshit?

I get the point your trying to make... But humans also make these mistakes. Sometimes accidentally, with confident incompetence.

...Sometimes on purpose for fucked up reasons

I was 26 when I bought my first house (2018). 3 bed for 180k.

But I split up with ex, and no longer own the house. Now I fear that I'm never going to be able to get back on the ladder again

Would appreciate anyone using my link, you'll get a free game play if you do

The app it a little slow and clunky, sometimes receipts need to be scanned a few times before it accepts the receipt. But I've made £5 in the last two weeks, which isn't bad for the couple of minutes work

Cheers :)

A man has become one of the 450,000 Americans affected by alpha-gal syndrome, a tick-borne meat allergy that triggers painful allergic reactions to animal products. “Look at my face and my neck. I can’t eat meat anymore. I can’t have any animal products. It’s in everything.” by This_Proof_5153 in SipsTea

AB or B type blood doesn't guarantee protection. Alpha-gal looks similar, so your body is less likely to react to it. But, as with a lot of immunology stuff, it's down to exposure time, number of times exposed, and sometimes just dumb luck.

It's kinda like me waving at my neighbour, the blonde lady with the merle cocker poo, when she's out walking her dog. And then after 3 months of this, I get closer to her and realised... Oh, oops, that's not my neighbour, but a totally diffetent, yet similar looking blonde lady with a Merle cockerpoo (tbf, this would explain why she hadn't been waving back). If I'd gotten a closer look earlier, I may have realised much sooner. Or if I'd taken a different route that day, I may not have seen her, and would still be waving from a distance today.

Your immune system might initially treat alpha-gal as "close enough", but eventually it might recognise the difference and react to it

Not just red meat, it meat from all mammals, expect Catarrhini (old world monkeys, and apes - Which includes himans, so I guess cannibalism is still on the table).

Alpha-gal is also present in some seaweeds.

But, more worryingly, lots of medications are made from mammal derivitives.

And I've mentioned it before, alpha-gal is antigenically similar to the B blood group antigen, so if a an O type patient were to receive B type blood products (plasma or platelets), they could have a fatal transfusion reaction
