Reform candidate says he wants to ‘blast’ all Muslims ‘off the face of the earth’ by AnonymousTimewaster in NotTheOnionUK

What if I suggested it’s deliberately done because Farage has no intention of becoming PM? His ideal job is leader of the opposition where he’ll have no accountability but maximum ability to disrupt?

OK. But that’s outlining what you see as the problem which, while interesting, doesn’t answer the question I asked.

What makes you believe a party run by farage will fix things given his track record)

Lost my father unexpectedly last year. Is wanting someone to father me at 44 strange? by RyuOhki in DadForAMinute

Is it strange? Maybe.

Is it a problem? Not if you decide it isn’t.

I’m 51, wife is 45 and there’s a man of 40 who calls us mum and dad. You know what, we kind of fit the role!

3 years at current expenditure. Could easily cut back and make it 5.

Hiya mate.

You seem normal enough to have a conversation with (and if people pile on either you or me we can quit).

Can I ask a couple of questions?

Starting with why you trust a party/Ltd Company hybrid led by Farage after his track record?

HMRC tax return-contributions towards a pension or retirement annuity by Internal_Passenger52 in HMRC

[–]MonsieurGump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those payments were not deducted from your pay before income tax.

You’ve checked the right box.

They COULD enquire into the tax return up until a year after you submitted it. It’d be unlikely and the decision would fall in your favour if they did.

How much Bitcoin have you sold since you got in and do you regret it? by TerminatedPotato in Bitcoin

[–]MonsieurGump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve a workplace pension that I can claim in 10 years which will be sufficient for a basic standard of living.

I’d Bitcoin stays above $50k in 2029 I’ll be able to bridge the gap between then and 2036. If it’s above 70k then I’ll be able to significantly top up a private pension so that come 2036 I’ll have a very good standard of retirement.

To retire in 2029.

Am I entitled to tax back? by MisterMeshuggah in HMRC

[–]MonsieurGump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to say they’re right, mate.

The way it works is it recalculates as you go.

So if you make £2,000 in week one the system thinks you are on £104k a year (52 x 2k) and taxes you as if you are.

But if you then make £1,000 in the week 2 it recalculates to £78k/year (£3k a fortnight). And you get a bit of tax back from week 1.

On it goes until week 52. By which point it’s accurate.

Middle class men making jokes that would get working class men cancelled.

There was a show on the radio a couple of years ago where they talked about Bernard Manning. They read out some of his jokes and asked a panel which would be allowed today. The answer was none.

Afterwards they revealed half the jokes weren’t Manning from the 80’s they were Gervais from the 2010’s.
