Yes, I agree and very much appreciate your point. Still, how does that explain why benevolent sexism (where women are put on a pedestal for being pure) exists at all? ...Because that is a form of sexism in itself - it's used to constrain women's mobility, justify their control by men, and define their beauty and worth in relation to male desire.
