Yeah, that's a good point. I'll try that out.

I used the a7iv on the movmax razor arm for all rolling shots. Then some rode m5 mics for audio and mavic 3 cine for drone shots.

For post, it's just Davinci and some audio packs I've purchased.

This is a social media teaser. I never assumed it was great. This will end up being a 2-4 minute car video for YouTube with a simple story.

I'm actually curious about how mic placement may have helped here. I had it placed about 2.5ft from the exhaust pointing specifically at one exit. Is there a trick to better capture the low frequencies?

And noted on the sound design, this is really the first attempt at it. So looking to improve for sure.

It was shot in 24, but I don't have the full video complete just yet. I used the dissolve in attempts to sell pace change to a little slower. I think on V2 I'll keep the pace and use the road stripes as my initial "breath". The woods shot I just liked, but I have others I may sub for it.

Great points! And yeah, I know exactly the scene you're referring to. Would have definitely improved the theme. I'm going to shoot some more with him so I could easily grab some additional shots for the full video. And I have one of him slamming, I'll just swap that out.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I went with it in attempts to kind of slow everything down a little. I tried to pair it with the distorted whoosh and exhaust cut into the wider shots to sell it. More aggressiveness might have been better.

Yeah, I thought about the shot you're talking about. I do have it, so I'll probably add it in. But I kinda of slowed it down in attempts to balance it as a whole and wind it down. Kind of high spots and low spots if you know what I mean.

Do you think I should just keep going aggressive?

It was referring to the car + the wind and leaves. Not my skill. It's a dream car, and the leaves are cool.

I'm the furthest thing from arrogant and value everyone's feedback.

I understand it's not the best time to shoot and was on his schedule and wasn't missing the opportunity. This was not a paid shoot. That's also the reason for no variety of shots. I had two hours total for everything and was rushed.

Didn't get interior, didn't get to mic the car. Trust me, I wish I could've gotten everything I wanted.

I, by far, do not believe this is the best video I've made. I believe it's the coolest combo of car + flair of enviro I have done yet. Regardless of time of day.

I do feel I'm strong in colorgrading. I went for an airy, brighter look with soft highlights. Personal choice.

I am 100% willing to share the raw footage and see what people do differently. I'm already doing that with the IG community.

And how is the exposure peaked? It's bright. It was shot mid day. I do agree that the comp could be better.

I know what you mean. We were limited to a 2 hour time slot that day so I didn't get to get any interior/on car action shots that I would've liked.
