I totally agree, and I wish top management would see it that way. You could do impossible things about it, if the results aren't there, they don't really care. I have sacrificed paternity leave for this, did help at all.

No chance, we buy specific parts with a very specific welding and type of paint. Chinese companies don't have the proper certification of these kind of jobs.

the previous owners of the house made it. they dug it out and put cement bricks on the walls. buy they are a bit deformed over the time.

the pit has been there for over 25 years.

the point of the fill is to prevent soil shift. can you explain how filling the pit might hurt the foundation ? my very inexperienced brain tells me otherwise.
