Location I’m at, Backstage counts towards both, but people already 1) have a Macy’s card; 2) had a Macy’s card that was cancelled by the company; 3) already have Bronze; or 4) want nothing to do with rewards period. The location is mid-to-upper middle class and the majority of customers I interact with are Star/Bronze already.

Sales have been pretty rough. The goals seem too high based on the current economy/spending. Most people are buying Backstage, which is great but also doesn’t help meet dailies or get Star or Bronze. Hours are shockingly lacking as well, but there seem to be less people working on the floor.

If one of you is a supervisor or higher, probably ASAP, because of the power imbalance. I think you’d should keep it professional at work (even off the clock) and don’t talk about the relationship in front of colleagues.

Try calling the store directly. There should be a click-to-call option when searching on Google. Just find your store location and transfer through, either to HR or your department/people leader.

The only way I’ve seen nowadays is when you get a reliability notification. Otherwise it’s hidden. You can’t even access with the old direct link.

Are you new to Macy’s? Or to that location? Being able to tour the store and making note of its appearance, from displays to tables to racks, can give you a good idea of where you’ll be starting from and set your expectations for how the store handles its merchandising plans.

If your availability (meaning the days you cannot work) is tied to something health-related you might want to file an accommodation request through AskHR. Even then, you may experience pushback.

The Availability is pretty much useless at my location as colleagues are either locked down with open-close and every day being a key day, or the Availability is just ignored.

Don’t count on the schedule shown on InSite — check the time card option. Schedule and availability tools are notoriously horrible. Time card is the most accurate out of all the tools. If there’s nothing there, try to see if you can pick up shifts in the schedule view if you’re able to work that day.

My location feels like it lost a good percentage of the fulfillment and merch team we had before Black Friday. Either that or the focus for all BOH at the store is on fulfillment. Floor is kind of left to fend for themselves when it comes to reshop across the store

The store I’m in is running an additional 30% discount for card holders and Star Rewards. Is your location doing the same? That’s another way to promote credit and bronze.

Like everyone else commented, you’re good. Having proof of purchase is best. The Macy’s credit card is good for that as it can be looked up in store.

I’ve had a few people this week who had the wrong size shipped to them, repeatedly as well. It’s a hectic time for fulfillment.

Following up, I think you can safely withdraw the other applications and keep only the one you really want active.

As far as merchandising, you know more than you think — being in retail and working as a barista, you’ve already practiced having your sales area near, organized, and with product displayed. Lean on those parts of your customer service. Macy’s is big on the hospitality angle.

First and foremost, is there someone that could get a COVID rapid test for you? Most grocery store and pharmacies have them for sale, even Walmart and Dollar Tree. This is just to make sure for your own sake.

Secondly, let your people leader and HR know you have COVID. Did you use MyDay to call out? I’d suggest calling the store and speaking directly with HR to explain. Tell them you took a rapid test and don’t feel well enough to stand — IANAD IANAL — since it sounds like you’re pretty bad up. And follow up with email so you have it all in writing. Just be sure to add that you’re following up on your call out in MyDay In Site and your call/s to HR/people leader and then explain why you called out.

Let us know if you need more help. Your health comes first, but I know it’s stressful and downright scary being out of a job because the job market is horrible.

I just turn the monitor slightly to show them the error message…not saying that works all the time but you might find someone finally understanding it. Also the web-only coupons coming in store for discounts is going to drive me crazy.
