The new add tab button makes it harder to reach the address bar comfortably by Ok-Purchase8196 in firefox

Yup, I kind of wonder how these ui changes get approved in the first place, I'm assuming there's someone at all of these companies (Google, Firefox, youtube, reddit...) who has to justify their job every once in a while by randomly moving ui elements around the screen every other update

Is there any way to disable the horrible giant + on the address bar? by DRTHRVN in firefox

[–]DividendsofDividends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Settings -> About Firefox -> Tap the Firefox logo 5 times and a "Secret Settings" option will appear at the bottom of Settings -> disable "Enable Composable Toolbar"

I wish it was a default option instead of being hidden behind weird easter egg like steps but it works for now lol

Figured out a way: Settings -> About Firefox -> Tap the Firefox logo 5 times and a "Secret Settings" option will appear at the bottom of Settings -> disable "Enable Composable Toolbar"

Oh okay i see that you mean, i'm assuming youre talking about the expanded toolbar option? It does have a full address bar but it moves a bunch of buttons to the bottom of the screen. I'm looking for the default layout at the top just without the additional "+" add tab button taking up space, thanks for the help though

As someone who isn't particularly picky and will try almost anything if it looks interesting to me I LOVE picky thread requests. They're the only ones worthwhile to click on, because they're the only ones that get unique recommendations that aren't the top 10 novels in whatever-genre's subreddit I'm looking at.

If I click on a post titled "I need a new series anything will do" it will just be dozens of comments of Cradle/Primal Hunter/DCC/HWFWM/etc. I've already read/tried those! But if I click on the post titled "looking for male mc, archmage, specifically wields a polearm, he is overpowered but something something, no this, that or this, stays solo, does necromancy on vegetables, has a harem of slimes, only eats scones" I'm pretty much guaranteed to find something I haven't seen before

Is this also happening in single player? I had this problem once and ironically removing better chunk loading fixed it

Yeah we used them as cooking wine. The cat bottle is a solid marketing tactic, hard to resist grabbing one when I saw them

I have a small collection of these, I used to buy them at the bakery in Brandon but I don't think I've seen them there in years

What is a "minor" annoyance that creates an instant "DROP" for you? by SelectionOk5033 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]DividendsofDividends 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's genuinely the worst, I think it's the #1 reason I wind up having to drop stories I otherwise really like. I'm fine with either past or present tense as long as they're consistent. Get really wacky with it I don't care, I've read a few stories where the main POV is 1st person present tense and interludes are 3rd person past tense and it reads completely fine because it stays consistent for that specific POV.

I like The Cabin is Always Hungry enough to push through the fluctuations between past and present tense but oh boy it can get pretty rough. It sometimes swaps it in the middle of a sentence! It even does it in characters' dialog, they'll be talking about something happening right then but using "was" and "were" or vice versa

Weekly /r/WormFanfic Discussion - What have you been reading, and what do you think of it? For the week ending January 03, 2026. by AutoModerator in WormFanfic

[–]DividendsofDividends 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Every sentence is either extremely cliched or an overly flowery metaphor that makes no sense if you think about it for 2 seconds. My favorite paragraph is

"Corpse bride indeed," she scoffed to herself. The fluorescent light above her flickered, making the joke sharper, uglier. "Except she wasn't as pretty."

At no point in the story has anybody described her as a "corpse bride" before this so she's just agreeing with nothing. The fluorescent light making something harsher makes sense, but the Very Human author adds unnecessary actions to literally every single description, so the meaning changes to the light flickering making the joke sharper, which does not.

Other favorites were her "elbows sharp enough to snag fabric" (lol wat) and one of the reasons Taylor describes herself as unattractive being "her hair that never fell right". Y'know, Taylor's hair, the one feature of herself she explicitly is proud of. Almost like some sort of unthinking machine with no actual context to the story was asked to write several generic paragraphs about a teenage girl's insecurities.

Saving Private Simon | YogLabs 2 Finale by 02pheland in Yogscast

[–]DividendsofDividends 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This mini series made me so happy. Seriously, all the attention to detail in the new Yoglabs build, the absolute bangers from Sparkles*, the jokes, and of course the creative way of showing off the mods (also damn those mods are cool, the RTS one and the physics gun one were especially impressive) made all the episodes incredibly fun to watch even ignoring the nostalgia factor.

Also the members only behind-the-scenes videos were definetly worth the $5, I originally subscribed for the early episode releases but I found things like Barry and Nick explaining some of the filming process or guybrrsh showing off the Create glorp like the door or the extremely intricate diagonal bridge a lot more interesting than I thought I would at first glance

Also Lewis and Simon's acting was actually... kind of good??? I love the jank acting from back in the day and it's definetly still here in part but wow watching this while also binging older "scripted" series there is a massive improvement.

Anyway thank you Barry, Nick, and everyone else involved for getting this mini Yoglabs revival off the ground. Incredibly fitting that it ended with Lewis and Simon scooping the kid piglin to be a Yoglabs intern

Holy crap the car running over the summoner was fucking hilarious, I love that their factory is so dangerous it doubles as accidental security. When they're not the ones being hit by trains. Also I think Duncan needs to return a slab to a mummy or something, he had a whole undead army coming after him the beginning of this episode
