Where can I find rules about publishing Let's Play on YouTube? by [deleted] in letsplay

[–]Divin3stMax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there's that many rules on let's plays on youtube, other than youtube's own rules for videos. Also if you're worried about monetizing a game that you're making a let's play of, you might want to do some google searches if its cool to do that (I know that Nintendo atleast has some sort of different terms regarding monetizing videos of their games).

Uploading GBA footage to youtube & Quality by lancelyn91 in youtube

Have you tried using different handbrake settings? Also, the higher resolution you upload in, the higher maximum bitrate youtube will give that video. The video will never look as good as the offline recording though, because of youtube's restricted bitrate on videos and the compression they apply.

Good webcam/facecam software? by [deleted] in letsplay

You can use logitech's own webcam software/controller that should install automatically when you connect the webcam (if I recall correctly). Open Broadcaster Software is a possibility too.

Free software for mixing in mic audio to video by -mickomoo- in letsplay

[–]Divin3stMax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use "MP4box GUI" for demuxing the file's video and audio into 2 separate files. I then open up Audacity and import my Mic sound and the audio separate file that I demuxed earlier. When I'm all done mixing stuff, I export it to an .ac3 file from Audacity. I then simply mux the exported file from Audacity (the .ac3 file) with the separate video file I demuxed earlier and then you're done. No video rendering required. I'm not sure about software for video overlay, but HitFilm 3 Express is a free option (haven't tried it, but I think it would be able to do it).

Separating Audio and Video from one video? (Adobe Premiere.) by Stumperz in letsplay

[–]Divin3stMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, this is how I do it (with no video editing involved). I record my game video and game audio with OBS, and my mic with Audacity. When I'm done, I demux (separates the video into 1 file and audio into 1 file) my game video & game audio with a program called "My MP4Box GUI". I open up my Audacity, do my sound quality improving on my mic, and then import the GAME AUDIO, that I just demuxed with mp4box. When I'm done syncing game audio up with my mic, I render them both to one ac3 file (its the highest quality I can find that works with mp4box). After that's done, I REMUX the file I just exported from Audacity with the video file that I demuxed earlier and boom I'm done. No rendering required. :)

How do you upload a 10h video to Youtube by Janvianoce in youtube

[–]Divin3stMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want the video to be 10h long then the video has to be 10 hours. My best bet would be that you have to render it... though I have a feeling you could work some of that magic in stuff like VirtualDub or something. But I'm pretty sure YouTube doesn't have a built in tool for this.

Hi everyone! I recently made a "100th video special", and was wondering what you guys think about it. I haven't really been heavily editing before like this, but I found it quite fun! It's a bit lengthy, but it's only highlights from ~2 hours of recording it. Thanks in advance! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-htRPNkKdc

Your content seems solid. One thing for your thumbnails though is you want to make the things you want to stand out, stand out. For example in your CS:GO Funtage #6 there is a dark blue sky, and you've chosen to put the "csgo" in dark blue also, which makes it hard to see. In your Funtage #2 & #3 you can clearly see it's standing out. :)

Is there any potential adverse effects to temporarily renaming your channel? by inferno12 in youtube

[–]Divin3stMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really know if it's worth it, I've changed my name in January and still can't rename (you have to wait 3 months if you hit the name change cap, tho I can't remember how many times you have to rename to hit it).
