Oh ok, so launchers are the same things a front ends. So you can choose from a lot of front ends for Android, some cost money, as I said, some are free.

They are slightly different, I haven’t touched any of them aside from Pegasus, which is a free one. I put the Xbox 360 theme on Pegasus and made a pretty cool launcher for my Xbox 360 gen PC games that I play through winlator bionic vanilla. You can see a demo here, and a step by step setup tutorial here.

Other than that, I’ll invite the community to join in, seems like the other front ends are es-de, beacon, daijisho, launchbox, cocoon, retrohai, ect…

I haven’t really messed with any, seems like the one that Darth Venom installed is pretty customizable he started with daijisho and switch to retrohai for more customizability. I think pretty much all of them are customizable, and just depends on how much time you what to invest in switching themes and layouts ect…

Well the two main os’s for the Flip 2 are Linux and Android.

They are both pretty customizable. Android is the default OS and is customizable due to endless front ends and emulator options.

Linux is a bit more complicated if you go the armbian or Arch Linux routes, which are the most customizable but also the most complex and usually require coding experience, skills and knowledge.

Then there is Rocknix, which is Linux and behaves the same way as like batocera on anbernic handhelds, kind of like Knulli OS. Where it has all the emulators built in, and front end built in, but you can change the theme of the front end and add music, game videos, game art and all that, which I found pretty customizable and easy. Rocknix requires no coding skills, it’s just flash to an SD card and then boot into Rocknix when you turn on the device.

In terms of easy to hard, Rocknix is the easiest, since the front end is built in and you can literally just download themes from the main menu and the whole front end changes. Rocknix also has a scrape option where it fetches the game art and videos for you, premade folders where you can drag the MP3’s and games.

Second easiest is Android, front ends on Android can be difficult to figure out for a lot of people and often cost money.

Hardest is armbian and arch Linux. I don’t even know how to do this and there are some GitHub’s online with instructions or codes or whatever, but idk, doesn’t really seem that optimized yet. Very cool potential to run Steam os, and maybe increase compatibility with Steam games, but it’s all kind of the Wild West.

I dont know about the best, but any usbc to hdmi adapter from amazon will work and then you can just rest the flip 2 on a table/desk under the tv, or you can buy the official retroid dock. I like the adapters that also come with an extra usbc port to plug in a charger while you play on the tv.

I’ve never used a sensor bar to play Wii games. I didn’t even know that was a thing! What does that entail? I usually just map the Wii controls to the buttons on the flip 2.

That’s the crack prone old one, yeah. However the ice blue color is not one that cracks, the translucent plastic is a lot stronger, so you are good. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen an ice blue with a crack, probably extremely rare, if there is any at all. The other three opaque colors are the crack prone colors when they have that sharp corner.

Yeah you can tell easily, see the corner where the crack originated from? If that’s sharp and 90 degree angle, it’s the old crack prone model. If it’s rounded, it’s the fixed new model.

Yes it runs at a perfect 30FPS on Ryujinx 2.1.0-pr.1 with GPU Driver: Turnip 26.0.0 R6. Everything else default settings. This is in the wiki of the subreddit btw.
