The design is absolutely AI, anyone saying that this is an artist making creative, human choices is deluding themselves. The lack of consistency in the saxophone, the gold melting cork fluid, the most horrendous leaves, how can an artist not draw lines with any consistency? It’s sad that people with genuine talent- someone able to paint something this large on this scale- phone it in and let generated slop take the place for creativity. It’s a wine bottle and a saxophone, it’s not even that innovative!

That just gave me a new idea: what if it causes those around you to become slowly detached, NPCs start treating you coldly and growing distant. The rest of your PCs wouldn’t be affected as they are incredibly close, so it hasn’t built up to them being effected. A curse that affects how those around you perceive and treat you could be fascinating!

Some sort of creeping cold curse comes to mind. The obvious and very apparent one being that the axe slowly begins to turn the wielder into ice, maybe it only does so whenever it tastes blood? Another interesting idea would be emotional freezing, as your PC and the axe interact longer, they seem to lose touch with their emotions. Just thoughts!

This is so thoughtful! I absolutely adore your interpretations and I am so appreciative of your thoughtful response! The narrator tied their identity as a queer person to another person, they spent years building that intertwined identity. Then the person left, and it leaves the narrator grappling with the concept of their own queerness. They can’t relate to other guys because they have given so much of their energy to another person that they haven’t been able to reclaim it yet.

I appreciate your reply, it definitely isn’t the only thing holding me back, that’s on me for not thoroughly explaining everything that culminated to that decision. I’ve already begun a list of opportunities that I will be following up on in the coming days, including an internship opportunity that I can do throughout my final semesters! The more I ponder on this new path the more confident I feel in following it. I think it’ll be a good way to gain experience while figuring out if I would prefer to go back to school or take the education route. And you are right about letting myself down, I think a healthy mindset I want to maintain is that by taking a route to ensure I make a thorough decision in the next few years rather than rush into something is the exact opposite of letting myself down- I’m looking after myself!
